Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Who is a regular watcher of the UK Super League and has an opinion of how well Tyrone May is playing g as the 7 for Hull KR ?
If we end up releasing or trading Lachie Galvin for 2026, the rumours are we could be looking at Tyrone May as a halves depth signing.
How does he compare with Latu Fainu and maybe Adam Doueihi as a potential halves partner for Jerome Luai ?
Hell no

Anyone who thinks the galvin situation is over needs to have a look at his body language towards luai. Post-match is very timid in the team song and to the side. Very unusual. On the kayo broadcast, if you go to the post match galvin leaves as luai enters the room very swiftly, and is with da silva in the sheds straight away. It is quite worrying and will continue to drag on as the season unfolds. If you want evidence go to about the 2:12 hour mark on the kayo broadcast. It is also concerning that galvin is barely seen with the rest of the team in TMay's vlogs, and is only spotted with 1 or 2 guys mainly his jersey flegg mates like da silva and luke lauli'i. Part of me feels sorry for him being a young kid, but he's no doubt brought it on himself
Yet he gleefully jumped into Luai’s arms after they combined to create the space to put Staines in to score.

Do you not think that they believe the cameras are on them as players, but outside of the footy it's different? In terrell's vlogs and post match cameras it paints a very different picture

I sometimes wonder if we can still resolve Galvin’s concerns, persuade him to change his mind and re-sign with us if we have a successful season, but the points you have raised among others strongly indicates he has made up his mind and his heart is not in playing for our club long term.
It’s sad and I’m sure our club could have done many things better to try and convince him to stay, but at the end of the day we give him his NRL opportunity before any other club would have, we have offered him a long term deal at a million dollars per season, before he has really earned that money, so like most of our fans, I’m satisfied we done all we could to keep him long term and if he doesn’t change his mind I think it would be in our best interests to release him for 2026 providing we get a player or players of value in return.

Noticed that myself last night.

Galvin is a kid, a kid with the highest of profiles that is comfortable on a footy field and simply nowhere near as secure off it, who is also being guided by a master manipulator in Moses.

He has been the biggest story in by far the most high profile sport in his state for weeks now, so of course he is going to be out of sorts, and I am pretty sure that you would understand such if he was your 19yo.

Who cares ! The team is starting to basically be the Jahrome Luai show , which it should have been from the start . And the attacks looking better . As long as he doesn’t destabilise the playing group , he does his role , then I don’t care at all . He’s a turnstyle in defence as well.

Anyone that has played a team sport knows there are always people who love each other and people who don’t.

I couldn’t care less if they like each other. As long as they are both doing their job they can be friends with whoever they like.

There not enough depth/talent across the league, especially with the new teams coming in. We should definitely hold onto Seyfarth and Twal, just need to get the price right. They both can do a job.
The issue imo isn't so much either player, they're doing great this year Sayfarth in particular look to have reigned it in a bit, although last night I think he gave away 2 simple penalties, the squad has played 3 games in 13 days, all 3 extremely quick tempo so can understand Sayfarth and the rest of the squad not aiming up properly and being a bit off. The issue is purely about their rotation and how we use them in our squad, ideally we could have one on the pitch at a time no prob they're holding their own perfectly, it's about having them both out togeather, it makes our pack that bit lighter, if we can use both guys in a way that has one on and one off the field through a rolling rotation, they could be more effective. Just my 2 cents, though it's worthless.

It's obvious to blind Freddy that out of all the clubs in the comp, we are the perfect one for him. It's also massively obvious that of all the coaches that Benji is the best one for him. He's a big boy though. I just hope it was him who made the decision and not his father.

People will use the footage both ways to see what they want. The media will, his agent will.

I will.

He is a naive kid and his life just got really real. Anyone would struggle with that. In the game, the kid loves it. High fives with Romey. No outside noise, no stress. After the game, reality sets back in very quickly and you're mostly alone because of the shitstorm your agent created for you.

I think his agent has done a pisspoor job of supporting him. He expected to get his client out of a team into another one, quick smart. When shit hit the fan, where was Isaac Moses? When Galvin had to talk to the team, where was Moses? And now he isn't leaving quick smart, this kid has to deal with the consequences of the shit storm he and his agent created.

if true it’s going to polarise the fanbase, but AJ is effectively what Skelton was in Cup last year. devastating yardage winger that is ready for more but stuck behind others on the depth chart.

always thought we wrongly pushed him inwards as a backrower as opposed to moving him to the sting and working on his flipper hands with time in reggies. Penrith have done that and we may well be the ones to benefit with what is effectively a 12 month loan.
He can’t catch though.

Bahahaha
He literally walked into the other room, followed by Bula, other players were in there...probably needed a leak

Are you on Weidlers payroll....

If all of us forum members were having a beer at a club and one of Richo's exciting player signings was announced to be AJ Kepaoa I reckon they would have to call the riot police lol.
If it is simply fulfilling the requirement of taking up one of the last cap spots on minimum dollars or thereabouts for 6 months at say sub $75k, then I have no issues with him being one of them.

A bit half heartedly for my liking.
Are we getting into the body language thing again 😄.
I did notice what you saw though. Could just be that he has a quieter personality but who knows if there’s more to it or not.

What I did notice was him running in and being pretty excited post try and was pretty chummy with Jarome so maybe that’s the better gauge 🤷🏻‍♂️
