Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

And I would expect similar output in the current WT environment under Benji too, assuming that he can handle the move to Sydney. His presence opens opportunities for those around him.

Sure, Fifita would be somewhat of a risk at a million dollars, but I feel some expect too much explosiveness regularly from the guy. He has not long turned 25 and I would be happy for the club to at least consider David as an option, and particularly so if available now.
For a million+ he’s getting paid, I don’t think people are expecting enough. I wouldn’t pay more than 4-500k for him. Not consistent at all. I’d be surprised if the titans let him leave unless a team covers more than 700k

The point is he is putting up that or better every week. Meanwhile we have Seyfarth averaging 60m per game.

Is all well and good to poo poo options but you need to put it into perspective. I’d have KPP starting over Seyfarth every day of the week.
I don't get why Seyfarth gets such a bad rap.

Guy can cross the line, guy does his part.

Look I fully expected our forward pack to collapse. They haven't. Look we have seen May go to a next level that will likely get him picked for Origin and all kudos too him.

Seyfarth and Pole have likewise stood up. Do I want to see better starters, Yea. But I am not going to rubbish two players who have both improved their game and helped us back to 9th.

100% I am onboard with the #babygiraffefanclub

Who is a regular watcher of the UK Super League and has an opinion of how well Tyrone May is playing g as the 7 for Hull KR ?
If we end up releasing or trading Lachie Galvin for 2026, the rumours are we could be looking at Tyrone May as a halves depth signing.
How does he compare with Latu Fainu and maybe Adam Doueihi as a potential halves partner for Jerome Luai ?

for me , I’d go Mariner , both Mays (so all 3), KPP , Hetherington , Young .
I’d let go of Staines and maybe Naden , deepening on Value of contract for Naden .
I’d also go hard at Reynolds/ DCE with the primary objective being to be a placeholder and feed as much info into Latu Fainus head as possible . Specifically around kicking .
I keep thinking...
If only we got Madge to get Adam Reynolds down here while he was with us.

I mean it's like "South sydney under cap pressure, Madge was his coach... He has family in Sydney".

So we chase Jackson Hastings... Who was at least better then LB...

Had we got Reynolds here IMHO we rewrite the last 3 years.

He would be a good depth option, but you wouldn’t want him as your starter. Could do a job for a couple weeks if there was an injury.

Theres a massive halves shortage so to be able to get a back up like May on a cheap deal is great for squad balance and salary cap management.

That’s the thing, as much as it’s been rumoured he wants to come home and play alongside his two brothers, he’s highly rated in the UK, I don’t think he would take too big of a pay cut to come home and I’d imagine he would expect to at least be in the running to be Luai’s halves partner if his form warrants it.
From what I’ve heard and based on his highlights package simonsatiger has posted above, he could be a great asset.
I have a feeling we might be having a crack at either Adam Reynolds or DCE on short term contracts as our first choice, but if neither of them are interested I’d say Tyrone May would become a very good option to compete with Latu Fainu and Adam Doueihi to partner Luai in the halves in 2026.

There not enough depth/talent across the league, especially with the new teams coming in. We should definitely hold onto Seyfarth and Twal, just need to get the price right. They both can do a job.

I was actually going to come on and say this same point. He isn’t a fast half but is very composed and had from very nice touches in the game overnight and there is actually a long history of him being paired with Jarome in the halves.

He's absolute rubbish.
A Ron Massey depth signing
