5/8 please?Look at the timing on that - just further evidence I think he’ll be here within the next month.
The question is…. would he play wing or centre?
@innsaneinkI don't know either.
happy to get hopgood if he moves on his own accord but not for galvin in in 2026i reckon he is a decent player, but I wouldn’t be swapping Gal, or breaking the bank for him, and I don’t reckon he’s what we need before June 30. But if he was keen to move then I would throw a bid in.
Has to be centre. It's a must.5/8 please?
There was talk he wanted out a few weeks backThat remains to be seen

Lomax is not a centre his decision making at centre is on par with Nofo as a wingerin our team lomax would be best served at centre, we have wingers
as for a 13 we have a ready made 13 in May who is miles better than Hopgood
I like the good junior swap ---------but they tend to return to their roots?I agree, Hopgood was good for the Eels last year, was even talked about being a SOO option for QLD. He has dropped off this year for some reason. We all know Galvin wont see out his contract till end of 2026. I'd take him and maybe a good junior in a swap for Galvin...
Lol....has he even played for them yet? There was talk he wanted out a few weeks back
Played in game 1 (or was 18th man) and was dropped wasn't he?I agree, Hopgood was good for the Eels last year, was even talked about being a SOO option for QLD. I don't understand this, surely as a club we can't move forward very far until we have a competitive reggies team, and I'm not just talking about the players in the team but more importantly their attitude. We have conceded the most points by far in NSW Cup, and have done for a number of years, this needs to change, and fast. He's played fullback and wing for Wests and looked promising in attack though suspect in defence. But admittedly the team is devoid of any defensive structure or resolve.
yes mate just speculating@innsaneink
Might have come from @Jedi_Tiger speculating this morning in reply to me?🤷♂️
Well I presume he was speculating?

A backline of
1. bula
2. turuva
3. Taylan May
4. Lomax
5. Skelton
6. Luai
7. Reynolds
Unless Doueihi is in our plans for next season we desperately need a goal kicker as part of our recruitment.yes mate just speculating
Didn’t Lomax just sign at Parramatta? Why are they letting him go already ? He is one of their best …It stated Richo expects Reynolds will get re-signed by the Broncos for another year and if

I’m a Doueihi fan, but I don’t think he’s done enough as yet this season to be given another contract on the money he’s looking for which I assume is 400k plus when you consider there is potential to sign other outside backs such as Taylan May, Dominic Young and possibly Zac Lomax.
And yes I agree we need forwards more than we do backs, but I cannot help that think we could have a much more potent backline if it included two of the three named above. It would be great to have the size, speed and athleticism to score long range tries like all other NRL clubs do.
I’m jumping on the back of other comments that we could possibly ask for Lomax in return for Galvin in 2026.Didn’t Lomax just sign at Parramatta? Why are they letting him go already ? He is one of their best …
We also need three forwards … that’s where you win games …. Although you can lose games in the backs with crappy defence …. We know all about that over the years ..

Would the Eels consider it ? Maybe not, but they are going to be desperate to land Galvin by 2026, so we might as well push for someone who could be very valuable to us in return.
Lomax publicly stated he went to the Eels to play as a centre and already finds himself on the wing, so it’s possible he’s not happy with that.
I think most people, myself included think he is a better winger, but would he be a better right centre option for us than Starford To’a ? I like To’a and he’s having a breakout season, but he’s not as big, not as fast, not as skilful and not as good under a high ball as what Lomax is, plus he can’t goal kick, therefore it’s fairly safe tj day Lomax would be a big upgrade at right centre and partnered with Taylan May at left centre we would certainly have a dangerous looking backline.
Like him so much? Brother - when you come up with statements like that - that for you is real - maybe your brain is too close to the BBQ. Just rubbish. You should upgrade his bbq if you like him so much
Well, people think he sucks... so why should we be getting something good in return?Yeah ..give me Lomax …but I suspect ithats another pipe dream … I got this nagging feeling that people are going to be disappointed In what the swap return is for Galvin..
Well, people think he sucks... so why should we be getting something good in return?
We rated him at a million/yr. Its likely someone else does as well.Well, people think he sucks... so why should we be getting something good in return?
