where would he fit ? turuva and Skelton have mortgages on the wing and Cobbo defensively isn’t up to it at centre .

Centre would be my spot for him but look at the depth chart - Who plays fullback if Bula goes down? Who goes into centre if To'a goes down? Skelton?

At the moment our depth is Staines, Naden and a still developing Luke Laulilii. Next year it will be May and Makasini too, who would both be touch and go as legitimate options for 2026 imo.

I’d pass on Cobbo too. He’s good when he wants to be but not someone I’d want to spend $800k on.

Depending on how Taylan goes and Makasini develops we might be set for centres which would allow us to upgrade our forwards.

totally agree, succession plans clearly already in place no need for Cobbo .

If the report is accurate, and club is linked and has made an offer, isn't it logical that provision has or is being made for his possible arrival?

But centre on 750-800k would be my spot for him. Look at the depth chart - Who plays fullback if Bula goes down? Who goes into centre if To'a goes down? Skelton?

Keep in mind you are talking about a season down the track. He still has another full season. A lot can change between now and then. He’ll be 34. You can’t prioritise someone at that age.

It's only at WT's where youngsters should be handed the spot & not have to earn it. Blake Mozer was happy to re-sign at Brisbane (has just as much wraps on him as TDS does) even though he's behind Hunt, Walters & Paix. Harry Grant didn't start regularly being a starter in the NRL until he was 22-23 so why should Tallyn just be handed the spot? You prioritise the guy who's currently playing better & has a bigger impact on the team.

Why do we assume that Adam Reynolds has either the skills or desire to be a mentor to anyone ? ot the Latu wants to be mentored by Reynolds ?

to be honest his wants are irrelevant its what best for the club. And reynolds is on record many times saying he likes working with the younger players.

Isn't Manu a chance of landing back at the roosters, how could they fit in Cobbo as well.

People are already talking about not blocking Makasini's pathway. The guy hasn't even played Flegg yet and was by all reports underwhelming in Ball.

The culture of pumping up the tires of these juniors to the point where they feel entitled to first grade spots needs to stop.

I reckon we have May a chance because we decided not to go after Cobbo. Which I prefer Cobbo wants too much money and like May is a risk. But May has friends and family in the team to keep him grounded and focused. I’d rather use Cobbos money in the forwards.
