2012-2013 Football (Sokkah) Thread

I wonder what people thoughts on the Roar and Sydney FC are

Can either or both still make the semis ??

They can, football is a funny game where if you string a few wins together you will move up the ladder very quickly. Sydney just knocked over one of the top teams in the comp, and have some very good players. Brisbane aren't the champions for no reason and also have the ability to string some wins together. There isn't a whole lot between first and last in the A-League.

Sydney can but I don't see them going far. Their issue is being a bunch of ball watchers at the moment. ADP creates and they stand back in admiration rather than running to holes.

Brisbane are playing like a bunch of blokes who have never been introduced. Trouble there. I can't see them making the finals.

Bad ol Hammers this morning Let in an early goal ,blew some big chances and got frustrated with the ref and had 4 yellow cards which will result in two players missing out on the Norwich game next week

Only positives Vaz Te and Collison came off the bench ,VazTe blew a huge chance late in the game when he just had to hit the target from about 5 metres Happy's :brick:

Saw this on the news, think hes called walcott for Arsenal. they flogged some mob, this dude beat about 4762 opp players to pop one in the net….brilliant

Was a cracking goal, Walcott did well to get past them all, stylish way to ring up a hat trick too.

Podolski had a major hand in the majority of those goals. He earnt his money in that game alone.

To all you Man U fans see you for the Round 3 FA Cup clash this weekend

Hoping we can be the fly in your ointment this weekend 😛ray: :unamused:

Jeez, it'd be hard being an Aston Villa fan today.

And today. 12 goals in a matter of days. Nasty.

15 -0 in three games

Villa fans will celebrate if they win the coin toss ,even an own goal would be acceptable

17-2\. Finally scored a double in a 2-all draw away at Liberty Stadium.

Yeah yeah sure As if you wouldn't be happy to get the double CB

Tottenham Hotspur the EPL team that I have followed for many years will probably not win the premiership just a bit too leaky in defense but could be the fly in the ointment for you Man U, City, Chelsea fans.

C'mon you Spurs.

I'd be thrilled with the double Happy… the PL & the CL Double though.

Couldn't care less about the FA Cup or League Cup. Mickey Mouse tournaments by comparison.

Agree that the League Cup is not worth much (unless the Hammers win it of course  ,then it will represent the World Cup

FA Cup is fairly prestigious though CB and seeing that Man U have such a strong lead in the Premier League I think Sir Alex will place a lot of emphasis on the Cup as well the CL

Im thinking that Rafa might not finish the season with Chelsea (got no history) FC.

Masterstroke in resting Mata and Hazard hey?

Liverpool signed Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea. Not a bad signing.

He could be handy to have but we do need another decent striker. I wonder how many players we'll be linked to before the end of the transfer window. Gerrard showed more and more today that he's gradually finding his form which hurt Sunderland. He set up some pearlers for Suarez today.

My question would be Chris ,why have you let Carroll out on loan to us ?? Ok he hasn't scored many goals , but he sets up a lot for many players around him

Can't wait to see VazTe ,Carroll ,Cole ,Nolan and Jarvis all playing together for us after they get some combinations

My guess would be his playing style doesn't suite the one that Brendan Rodgers wants to implement at Liverpool.

And he struggled for the Reds. May as well make some money out of an under performer by loaning him out rather than not utilise him.
