Struth things must have gone bad coz now even Robbie is feeling sorry for the boys

"I spoke to Woodsy and he’s told me how tough it is. He said, mate, I don’t know how (you) went through it for 18 months, he’s had a month of it and it’s really been draining on him."

A month of what?.. Contact negotiations that rest on his decision alone, when the club is throwing everything at him to ensure he stays?

A coach being sacked, interim coach with speculation about new coach and accusations being thrown around that the players are running the club, media asking questions he cant answer, and again and again…... new coach, being approached by other clubs with offers he has to consider , and trying to focus on footy all the while with a percentage of your supporter base questioning yout loyalty.? Probably enough there to give him a few restless nights I would have thought. .

Not to mention all the infighting and crap that regularly goes on behind the scenes at this club that none of us are really privy to.

well im glad he said he doesnt want to make a decision when he is angry and not in the right mind set

I read from it that we MIGHT still have a chance to keep him

Can someone enlighten me as why he is "so angry"
If I'm not mistaken he has had a contract tabled for a long time with us that would reward him and make him one of if not the highest paid prop in the NRL and he and/or his manager has stuffed around for months and months…......I'd like to be so angry :crazy

Stuff going on that we fans know nothing about I imagine, Dazza.

I can, he has got sick of losing

He did say the energy is infectious
Seeing boys with heads down

We play Monday like last Sat night he aint going anywhere

Maybe hes waiting until all the LO games are played

Funny not one mention about Brooks staying by any of em….he seemed to forget about our win the other night as well

Poor

How about saying he wished he'd stay here and win a premiership? What a captain hey. Surely there's no one on here who still defends this clown??

If I was Pascoe or Cleary watching that crap I'd pull the offer from woods .
I'd chase more serious and hardened props and leave Woods out in the woods ..

What a poor excuse for a supposedly leader of our pack .

On a side note, how noble is/was James Graham

They asked him about being moved on and he responded by saying why wouldnt the club sign young and good players

I must say he wont be out of place a the tigers.. Great warrior and good mindset

He's been an embarrassment for ages with his comments in the media. How much more obvious is he making it that he does not want to be here?? And the club allows him to continue to do it and still claim he's a priority. Get a grip Pascoe, Tedesco is the only priority.

What a shame our former captain didnt have such a magnanimous attitude rather than deciding to bring the club down with him.

Why are our players so immature on these issues?

Corey Parker accepted it. Braith Anasta accepted it at hte Roosters and countless more. Not our Robbie. He had to poison the whole joint on his way out.

I've been thinking that people have been reading too much into what Woods had been saying recently. But tonite really has me thinking maybe we'd be better off just pulling his offer. It's gone on long enough
He can't be having a positive effect over those around him.

That was quite depressing.

Ha..I thought that was the most confident Woods answered the questions posed to him for a long time…meh...

Wouldnt pay him a dollar over 500k. I don't understand the hype around him. Money needs to be used elsewhere.

Starting to feel the same re his value. We really don't want to tie ourselves up with this guy if the value isn't there. The club seems to have turned a new page though so thankfully, I doubt they will.

He is a good player with some good offloads and a heavy workload. But if anyone thinks he is amazing, they should watch a Canberra Raiders game to put things in perspective.

Why - he is a better front rower than anyone they have in my opinion.

Woods is being positive with the line of thinking that whebe teaches. His a professional athlete and is of the opinion being positive may give a competitive edge. So are you saying woods having a negative attitude will be better for his footy?

I've been a staunch supporter of him both on and off the field.
He's certainly lost me off the field over the last month or so, and tonight was downright pathetic. Ikin and Kent hardly went in hard on him, and he was utterly embarrassing.

Some of you lot sound angrier than Woods . lol

Even Robbie came out and said that sort of stuff is draining

Woods said to his mum not to read the papers and that he is over the ever changing story which plays out 24/7
\
\
In all honesty he is young and hugely burdened right now with all the dramas

I blame his Manager for this cock up, dont forget Woods doesnt have that life experience yet but he will from all this.
\
\
He carried the team when he first came into the Team and we had most of our forwards injured.

Because things are weird right now i dont want to sink the boot into him.
It might all pass like a bad storm

Flip, why you laughing . is it because Graham argues with the Refs too much ? lol

He said he'd like a draft period during the off season as it's all too distracting doing it now.
How about signing the contract put to you in the off season then?
Talk about blaming everyone else.

Yeah well that certainly wouldn't help our cause if he ended up here, but what I was really laughing at was his line "_why wouldn't the club sign young and good players_" - one of the young and good players he is referring to is precisely the one everybody on here has now decided is no bloody good to us! Blind hatred kills off all reasoning. I'd take the opinion of the people that really know talent over the armchair critics on here, who have NFI, any day.
