Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Need Rankin for his goal kicking.
Need JAC for his speed and X factor.
Don't need Nofo atm playing pretty poorly.

Still like the "yes I've always followed the Tigers - it has been my dream to play for them" - I'll just keep my head down, learn as much as I can and wait for my turn to play in the NRL". Something like, he was quoted as saying.

First club to come along with a few bucks -

Is he going to be another mercenary like Koro? We'll see soon enough.

Hope not.

mercenary? mate koro was stuck in nsw cup while our left winger was plodding down the sidleine with a zimmerframe.

JAC has looked completely at home in all 3 first grade and you could say last night he was our best player. Yet i fully expect him to be dropped next week and Rankin on the wing. I dont blame him if he leaves

He is 20 years old. I reckon he had already played more first grade this year than he expected. He won't leave because he is not first choice this year. He will leave either for more money or to go a better club.

I'd leave if I was behind both our wingers , they're not that good, ones out of position, and the others patchy, especially in defence

I wouldn't if I was 20 year old. I would recognise that I need to earn that role. I would see being picked in 3 games out of 12 in first my year out of NYC as a great start to my career.

Koro was after the dough, that is why he went to Melbourne and now that is why he has gone to rah rah.

If this guy goes - he is after the dough as well.

He was given a go against the Storm (played average), then he got injured, when fit again he was picked for NRL in the last two games. What does he want????

Now I haven't posted in a very long time, more so lurking around the forum than anything else, but couldn't help myself on this one. Your statement is ridiculous. Sure Koro and JAC are after dough, so is every player, but it's so much more than that.

Koro was blistering NSW Cup week after week but was not being picked for NRL which is what he wanted, as the club figured playing a 40 year old man who would be leaving the following year was the better option. Add to this the fact that Melbourne offered him significantly more money than we did AND the security of a first grade position.. Why would he not leave us!? You'd be stupid not to.

JAC has been tremendous in all 3 of his NRL appearances so far for us and has also been killing it when playing NSW Cup. If he is dropped next week for slow, non performers who are meant to be playing WING like Rankin and Nofoaluma, you cannot blame the kid for wanting to leave. More money at Melbourne and a more secured first grade position. Very interested to see the team selection next week.

We picked Richards over Koro in 2014 and that was a huge mistake.. I have a feeling history may be repeating with Rankin over JAC in 2016.. lets hope it doesn't.

Probably for the Coach to continue to pick, or not pick him, depending on form.
He hasn't often made that a practice that he sticks to.

This is palava. If Koro was offered a first grade spot and a decent contract extension he would have stayed. Same as JAC.

We just have to act quickly enough.

It's also what Koro deserved and JAC deserves based on how they are playing.

I definitely wouldn't be dropping JAC. Not only is he a good footballer but he has a quality that engages the fans. The commentators on 9 couldn't stop drooling over his performance. As for our goalkicking - we are ranked 16th and kicking at just over 60%. Hardly worth finding a spot for Rankin with those figures.

So who kicks if rankin is in Reggie's & mosez can't kick?
Not advocating rankin in front of JAC, but we need a goal kicker

And neither half is about to get dropped to allow Ranking to move there…

Really I can't see the coach dropping Nofo or Kev either. But that pair are becoming a worry on that side in defence.

Actually Ink I was wrong - our conversion rate of tries is only 54%. I reckon Simona would be no worse than a 54% kicker.
Or as others have suggested drop Noffa or Kev.

I'd be giving rankin a gig at right centre and tossing a coin between Kev and Nofo for that wing. That edge is our weakest point in D.

If JAC is to play someone is going to have to take one for the team..Nofo would be my pick but JAC will be in the reggies next week unfortunately, if the rumours are correct JAC to the storm then this becomes a bit easier so all should be revealed next week.

Even if he is going to the Storm next year you have to pick your best side while you still have a chance of playing finals football and JAC is our best winger. Pointless to drop your best winger because he signed with another club for the next year

Couldn't agree more. I honestly can't believe some people are trying to say it's Koros fault he left. The guy was carving up nsw cup with ease and we wouldn't pick him. Every player wants to play First grade. The storm gave him that opportunity and we allowed him to leave. That's purely on us.

To say he has now gone to Union for more money. It's reported he has been offered twice as much to go to the Rebels plus the lure of wallaby test payments. It's an absolute no brainer, there isn't a single NRL player who would turn it down.

20 years olds in today's game expect to be playing first grade if they're good enough. JAC has clearly shown he is. It would be different if we had Brett Morris and Cirey Oates on our wings holding him out but we have one capable first grader in Nofo and a 23 year old journeyman who had never played wing in his life.

If JAC leaves it's all on the club for not giving him the opportunity or paying him what he deserves. We've uncovered a diamond and if we let him go but keep Rankin/Hunt who will never be anymore then ok first graders then the club has again shown they haven't learnt anything.

Yes I agree but that is not how it works we all know that ..I hope he does play next week ,things happen around him .

Nofo mightn't be the try scoring machine we may have hoped for from 2014 onwards , but he is an absolute metre eater early in our sets

He needs to stay imo

Yep Nofo provides a lot of impact. If we are only keeping Rankin there for his goal kicking, when we have the worst percentage in the competition, then I'd prefer he was dropped and Hunt was put there with Moses doing the goal kicking.

Moses isn't kicking because of his groin

That is the obvious answer , but Geo backed up my question before in regards to Moses

Rankins kicking is going to turn a corner I reckon , Vossy was saying that he'd spoke to JT and he doesn't trust in his natural hook that he has

Bit like golf , if you have a natural fade or draw with a particular club , play for it

its not like Rankin is Adam Reynolds in the goal kicking department. if he was kicking at 80% then thats justification for keeping his spot.

i can handle a slightly worse goal kicker if it gives us a game breaker on the wing
