Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Also happy - if we have scored the majority of our tries under the post it makes a success rate of 55% even worse.

ET has made a massive difference to the way Brooks is playing. He is taking the ball at pace more often than not & looks to have a lot more time on his hands. If we're to keep Rankin & JAC in the top 13 what does everyone think about:

5\. JAC
6\. Rankin
7\. Brooks
13\. ET

…with Moses on the bench along with 3 forwards (for this weekend say Woods, Sue & Felise)

Are you planning on moving Rankin to hooker to spell whoever you have in the 9? Or ET to hooker and Sue to lock? I doubt Rankin's defence is up to playing hooker.

Good point. ET to hooker & Sue to lock. I think Felise has shown he is comfortable in the prop rotation.

However can Ballin not play the full 80?

He definitely won't be right now on his second game back and given he's returning from a serious knee injury at age 32 I doubt he'll ever be an 80 minute hooker again. He had been an 80 minute hooker at Manly for a long while but I think they started to spell him with Jayden Hodges over the last year or so of his time there.

Need Rankin for his goal kicking.
Need JAC for his speed and X factor.
Don't need Nofo atm playing pretty poorly.

Nofo mightn't be the try scoring machine we may have hoped for from 2014 onwards , but he is an absolute metre eater early in our sets

He needs to stay imo

I said this about Nofo in another thread, his work taking the dirty yards from our own end is something a lot of people either aren't seeing or don't place any value to it.. Easiest solution is JAC on the wing and drop Kev and move Rankin to the centres. There is nothing Kev offers that Rankin can't give us. Anybody that blames Nofo for our right side edge defence problems doesn't know how defensive structures work, every time Kev rushes in out of defensive line then Nofo has no choice but to follow him in otherwise if the ball gets past Kev cause he has rushed in then Nofo is left isolated with a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 situation to try and shut down.

The problem TM88 with playing him in the centres is its the hardest position on the field defensively

If people think he struggles on the wing he will have a hell of a time in the centres

The inside and outside men depend on what the centres do

Usually the player who makes the decision to come out of the line is the centre and he has to hit and make it stick , when they don't the opposition scores either that tackle or the next

If you want to do that you'd want to stick him in NSW Cup for 6 months , but we don't have the time for that in 2016

My thought was you could play him at 6 and bring Moses off the bench and he could fill a variety of roles in the side including giving the hooker a break , he has a good running ,passing and kicking game which would be ideally suited to a back up hooker role

I might be wrong but I thought he played some centre in ESL. I 100% agree with you though about the defensive vision needed to play centre. Either way imo JAC and Rankin both need to be in the side and I don't think dropping Nofo is the answer.. Gee JT has a tricky team selection to get right this week

With Broncos first try it was Nofo that rushed in - Kev didn't.

He had a choice then, didn't he?

NSW Cup for mine.

I thought you might have been right then so I just went and found a replay of that try, Kev was standing there in no mans land he didn't rush in but he didn't slide either. Kevs defensive reads are terrible. Like happy said earlier the decisions the centre makes in defence affects what the winger has to do.

Said to my mate at the time, they are not sliding, for once Nofo had very little option. As for Kev not sliding I think a few inside him were also to blame

Thats how I saw it and I have watched it a few times. Kev had his centre covered if the pass went to him. Nofo didn't trust Kev to take his man so rushed up.

Kev makes bad calls and rushes in too much (sometimes it works) but this one wasn't his, it was Nofo.

There was no need to rush, even if the ball went to the centre.

Haven't re watched the game yet , but I thought Kev didn't move up in a straight line and was slightly behind and it seemed that Nofo was reacting to that

Hard to tell what they are exactly thinking or planning , but I'd be blaming both partially

Are we sure MM's groin is still an issue? If so, why was he the first cab off the rank in terms of kicking the FG on Friday night? He's also taking most of the kicking responsibilities in general play.

YES please immediately offer JAC good money, haven't been as excited since Larry graced our wing. Even got out my "Black Flash" Record out again. "send it out Send it out ". Don't let me miss another excitement machine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
