JAC wants to stay a Tiger

Apparently the two clubs are working out a deal to compensate the Storm

Fingers crossed he remains a Tiger next year

Assuming that's true then Rankin would make a good trade. There's been some money thrown at Blake Green from rival clubs and Rankin would probably go well alongside Cronk in the halves down there, and he's be a cheap option for them.

Are you kidding
Storm wont be stupid to take Rankin
Their no name home grown talent could outshine the bloke

We would have to pay someone to take Rakin off our books with his poor form of last 3 games or so

Korobete wasnt good with in defence with us
Look how far Bellamy took him with a little bit of the right coaching

JAC is not much better defensively, just wait for Bellamy to mould him into the next best winger

rankin would probably turn into a good player there like cheyse blair did

I'd love to see this deal with the Storm fall through, but I doubt it will happen. Shame, he scored 2 more cracking tries in State Cup on the weekend.

He'd probably go alright with us if he was playing in the halves. I suspect Bellamy is a smart enough operator not to go judging players off their last 3 games, especially when they've been playing out of position.

Maybe, Maybe not guys, in any case Bellamy would definitely know better than i could ever. After all he is a First Grade coach and i'm not

I doubt JAC would be able to stay but whichever way i know Bellamy would be able to make either of these into better players than they currently are

Nelson mate, forget the last 3 games and think about the product of Jordan Rankin. Jordan Rankin is 24 and is already one of the slowest players in the NRL.. No matter how many people say he is a half playing on the wing, you can not be a NRL half with the lack of speed and strength Rankin possesses.

Bellamy is a super coach and I have no doubt if ever as LOVE THE WESTS TIGERS said the Tigers paid the storm enough money for the storm to take Rankin I have no doubt he would improve - To the extent of being an outstandingly average NRL player.

He's not anywhere near as slow as you're making out. Anyway Adam Reynolds is slow (far slower than Rankin) and has won a premiership and got selected for SOO this year. Speed is not a prerequisite for being a good NRL half. Don't get me wrong I don't think he's a great player, but he has the sort of skill set that Melbourne could make something of.

Koroibete is still pretty hopeless in defence down in Melbourne in all honesty.

I agree, he is just backed up by a very disciplined defensive team.

I saw Torch said it wold be 200k compensation to the storm…

If JAC wants to stay at the Tigers the deal should be 100k off 2017 contract and 100k off 2018 contract

I HOPE HE STAYS!!

I can't handle anymore yelling at the tv when Rankin either gets thrown out make a rubbish hit up or misses a simple goal..

Do you rage when JAC gets dragged back 10m in tackles and doesn't compete for bombs that lead to try's?

No because I'm still grinning from the length of the field try he just scored

Yet he still doesn't get named in the first grade side. Smh

STORM SIGN YOUNG FLYERS

The Storm have signed two of the best young outside backs in Queensland as they move to cover for the losses of experienced campaigners Marika Koroibete and Ryan Morgan for 2017.

Morgan signed with English club St Helens overnight, while Koroibete is off to rugby union.

The Storm hope to fill the void with young outside backs Chol Chol and Jake Ainsworth.

Chol Chol is just 18 but could develop into a crowd pleaser for the Storm on the wing.

The teenager was raised in New Zealand and was introduced to rugby league at Wesley College, the old school of All Black legend Jonah Lomu.

He has been a strong performer with the Ipswich Jets and Hervey Bay this season and has speed to burn.

Utility back Ainsworth, 19, has looked the goods playing for Rockhampton Leagues Club CQ Capras.

Hopefully they see the depth they have in the backs and decide to give us JAC back!

I can only hope!!!

Bellamy is a good Coach.
But he's not a magician !!
Why would he waste his time on a player that he probably isn't interested in anyway

Couldn't find it on Rugby League Week website but Ali (Yes I know some aren't the biggest fan) just posted this..

Rugby League Week today reported that the Melbourne Storm are on the verge of signing Tim Lafai from the Dragons for season 2017 and beyond!!!

I hope this is true every back the Storm sign is one step closer to him staying.

Melbourne Storm bound flyer Josh Addo-Carr plans a Wests Tigers return

MICHAEL CARAYANNIS, The Sunday Telegraph

OUTGOING Tigers flyer Josh Addo-Carr says his career with the club is not over — vowing to return at some stage in the future.

Addo-Carr is leaving the Tigers with a heavy heart after inking a three-year deal with the Storm from next season. While the 21-year-old has reaffirmed his commitment to joining Melbourne, he left little doubt about his love for the Tigers.

“I’ve enjoyed my time at the Tigers,” Addo-Carr said. “I love this club. I’ll end up back here. I love the boys, I love the staff. Hopefully I come back in the future.

“I love a challenge and it’ll be a good challenge for me and moving away from family and friends. I’m looking forward to the move down to the Storm but I have a job here to do first and try to play finals football.

“It was a massive decision for me and my family. I’ve got to do what’s best for myself. I’m not around the game forever.”
\
\
Addo-Carr is hoping he gets another shot at Leichhardt Oval.
Addo-Carr knows he is on borrowed time at the Tigers. A loss against the Warriors will end the club’s hopes of a finals spot, leaving him with just one more game to play before his off-season switch.

“We’ve got a small chance of making the semis and we have to play our best to make finals football,” Addo-Carr said. “Coming into the Warriors game we need to take every opportunity. Last week we let ourselves down.”

The game in New Zealand will be Addo-Carr’s eighth this year since making his debut in round seven, and he has scored five tries. Addo-Carr said the decision to join the Tigers from the Sharks this year was easy.

“When I found out the Tigers wanted to sign me I took it straight away,” Addo-Carr said. “I’ve gone for this club my whole life.

“Every opportunity I’ve got I’ve tried to take it with both hand. I’ve had my ups and downs.”
