It depends if you want to give your halves more space OR if you need more defence in the middle. There are different types of lock that fill different gaps in the team.
I think the game has moved away from the third prop type of lock.

Really inspiring game from him, played like our forward leader and seems like he’s developing his game to the player we all know he can be!
Liking what I saw, could play himself into an origin squad if he can continue to contribute to his attack game and not rely solely on his defence....

HIs post contact metres last night were insane. he was dragging multiple defenders for miles every hit up!!
