When he finally gets that first Try,

Man, will we celebrate !!!!

When he gets it, we'll be celebrating like it's 2005!

Securing Twal is like fitting another piece to the puzzle - hopefully we can keep building and slotting in some of our quality young lads until we have put together a squad of hungry skilled players who want to compete every week and are proud to be Wests Tigers.

Twal is the kind of player that would fit in to a top side. Proof of that is Aloiai. If Aloiai could slot into a top 4 side, Twal could easily. So to not even entertain offers from other clubs is big marks to him. It’s a term that gets overused, but this guy is captain material.

And **credit also goes to the club for locking in Alex Twal** who is our Rock ( our Dale Finucane).

Twally completed 208 tackles, and missed 0. Works hard on and off the ball. It’s nice to have a player without dickfingers in our side.

Also good to see Madge is still around, having been quoted in Twal’s press release. Mikey from marketing.

I do like Twal I just wish he had more offloads in him but he’s a solid defender and tackler if more of our players tackled like him our defence would be much better

I wish he would pull off a bone rattling tackle

He stands back and waits for the attack to come to him, then cuddle them to the ground, it puts our defenders on the back foot ... I’ll be disappointed if he’s taking Luciano’s funds!

Lol… you’re on your own there.
Him and Lucy are opposites on the spectrum.
Good to have both of them … a defenders money won’t affect what they offer Lucy.

Kind words.

With all the media dribble about how no one wants to play for this club, that is genuinely great to read. Twal clearly loves the club

Good to see Cheekam even offer his congratulations to Twal in the Insta post

Solid signing.. sorry if I missed it in earlier posts.. but what are we paying twal
per season..?

Players salaries are never disclosed officially..

Generally though if a player is going good we paid them what their worth .. if not 900k seems to be the going rate in the media on average…

Or not offloading to a support player steaming through with the line wide open

What about the last game at Cambo against Manly. Alex pushes off a would-be tackler around half-way, charges up field, steps inside Turbo Tom, who comes again, and as he is tackled, offloads to Mbye to score under the posts.

One of my favourites.

Keep it simple people.

Alex Twal is a high workrate player. Good tackler and the kind of player we need.
Can he offload, No not really. Keep it simple. Like Aaron woods, simple job works well. By twal being a bargepost then our halves know if they want to run the line they can.

Let Twal get his defense and tackling up. We need more physicality then offloads.

Ofcourse send him to Tim Sheens for 5 weeks and Twal will become a perfect center, wont defend, attack or anything else but offload 😉

The Big T is a piece of the puzzle that we need imo. Every champion side has a no-frills work-horse that goes about his business with limited fuss, does the basics right and is reliable. All the better that he's a junior of our club and shows some allegiance. Love the guy.

It’s worth mentioning, if it hasn’t been already, Twal is the guy who made 61 tackles when we got donkey licked 38-0 by the wooden spooners. That’s a Madge player right there!

Every coach loves to have players like that in his squad.Every team needs men who don't raise the white flag when things are not going well,Alex is certainly a man who never gives up

"Finally scored bro" from mates and even randoms when out and about. Will be wild scenes on the paddock when/if he finally crosses the chalk.
