OFFICIAL Apisai Koroisau #263

We're very lucky to have two significant players coming from grand final teams next year. We complain about lack of recruitment but buying quality like this is very good.

I'm not worried about what they've said, I'm interested in what attitude they bring to offseason and training. I hope they try to impose expectations and can lead by example. Media talk is worthless.
Good players yes. Are they the leaders this club needs? You would have to have some doubts.

He can say what ever he wants haha he’s the one who has signed the contract and is actually comming to play for us hahaha the jokes on him haha few to many beers before getting in front of the microphone I think
He should have engaged the brain before the mouth.

It’s a bit usual to hear of a player bagging us before he actually arrives instead of after he leaves. Thats a new one for the books.

A new low and consistent with public perceptions of the running joke we’ve become.

I think he should at least miss some games over it, he’s brought us into disrepute.

I can’t imagine us taking any real action. Just Lee mumbling away and Api still too pissed to understand any of it.

You're watching the wrong video....
The one in question was from yesterday when he scoffed at winning with the Tigers in his speech.

I'm not fussed - He'll play when he gets here....
If someone asked me how we'll go next year - They'd get a similar response
(And I been round here way longer than Api will ever be)
Fear is he brings the Moses Mbye / Josh Reynolds mentality. Once decent players who just become average or injured on the big bucks. Not a good start.

True but I’m wondering about how his new teammates think. I know they’ll possibly laugh on the outside, cause that’s the blokey thing to do,but subconsciously has a bad precedence been set. Ie we can’t possibly win a comp, even our major signing is saying we can’t.
Whether he was half full or not I personally don’t think it was necessary or appropriate.
And I for one applaud Lee for contacting his manager about it.
So call me a snowflake if you want but my thoughts for the WT run deeper than that.
Good reply but Api is here to improve the team if he can help get us to 8/9th spot it's a win win and hopefully bringing some new players into the squad from the juniors and showing them what it takes to be a winner on the field

Nah TSP, I think it was a belly full of beer talking.
He's spoken very well about coming here while IP was playing the media.

And I guess we should feel lucky that being a Panther he didnt get arrested for doing something sick and perverted, blaming a victim or other dog act.

I watched 360 last night i dont usually because Kent and Braith are flogs but.... Kent hit the nail on the head not just with the Api & Fisher-Harris things but with the Panthers in general.
They are bad winners and carry on like 16 yr olds not only do they disrespect their opponents as a group they do it individually.
Theres no doubt they are a good team and probably will be for many years to come but they are far from humble, they even disrespect their own club saying they are the best Penrith team ever.
One day that culture will bite them on the arse, all it takes is a couple of ACL's or a few recruitment blunders and they come back to the pack.
Not many rugby league players at any level would be that proud of their behaviour on a mad Monday. Surprised they do these fan days the following day with their players being so weathered. Won’t surprise me if that changes next year.

Yeah.

Off the park, the Panthers shouldn’t be seen in groups of more than three.

Conceited, arrogant, self entitled tools they’ve become.

But it’s a lot of fun watching them self harm in the media. Should happen every week.

Dickhead team, Ivans fault a lot of it.

It seems some have become immune to being laughed at for the club they support.. Yeh-mediocrity alright.

Mad sad
Outraged
Snowflake
No... Just don't like my team being made fun of... Quite sick of it really... The fact some of the fan base are used to it is telling.... We are at rock fn bottom and this will never sit well with me
We are no longer mediocre that means average. Fans are now accepting being a laughing stock.

why would they, hes the best hooker in the game, that would be a classic tigers move and that sort of mindset of having the perfect image for this club is part of the reason we're in this rut. whole organization is too nice, what api said was true, the only thing that's gonna change that is on field performances and you aint getting that with below average players that are nice. I've said it heaps before this club worries too much about how it's perceived by the kids instead of winning games on the field
Agree. Would have been happier if Lee said that Api probably has a point (not made well but it’s true) and the club is working hard to shake off our underachieving image. Instead he goes crying to his manager.

Correct, IMHO, Madge failed to deliver, under his command we even went backwords from where we were under Cleary.
There was a hope that Maguire would further improve our defence, identify the gaps and implement the missing structures, unfortunately he failed. He just played it safe and re-cycled the same (mediocre, hopeless) players. Also, there were rumours that some players left us because of him, and that in general he "lost the locker room".
As we know, doing the same thing over and over again, and expect a different result is the life cycle of a disaster. IMHO, we had to try something different, and Sheens is the only coach that already delivered. With a possible exception of Bellamy, imho, he is our best option to break the downward spiral.
Hope you're right. I am quietly confident there will be real lift in performances next year, but like everyone here I have seen so many false dawns. But I need to get past that. Bring on 2023.

Its a mountain out of a mole hill IMO... Should he of said it ... No but the reason its a big story is because it is the Tigers..
If this happened 12 months ago and he was off to the Dogs it would not of been a big story.. Tigers are massive clickbait and media know it..

He turns up after WC duties and does an interview and all is forgotten.

This…👆

Once they get massive dollars, they seem to go into cruise mode.

Hopefully, we see their best form and we don’t get stuck with big contracts based on past glories.

Need to put other winners around Api or we now know what he thinks of his new teammates. Pretty simple really.
