With what? That nearly all contracts confer a right to terminate in the event of a default by the other party? Dont know how you can disagree with that. Dont throw the Sheens contract situation up. That was completely different. Sheens was not in default. NRL coaching contracts dont generally contains performance conditions entitling the club to terminate.

Anyway this is all pointless given that Mayer has stated the article is incorrect.

No, I completely disagree with your line of thinking.
Anyway, good for you, you like a longer the better type of arrangement but for me it opens up the possibility of risk and forgoing other more advantageous opportunities that may come up.

I was almost going to agree with everything you said until the last two lines. These guys should be held to account as they are paid big money to manage our club. As a paying member I have every right to say my piece just as much as you have. Laying the boot in is not an accurate description ….... you may think it is but I don't. Questioning his 10 year ANZ deal and questioning the length of time to get the Farah contract lodged with the NRL are all fair game from where I sit. What else have I laid the boot into him about ? That I described him as a Silvertail blow in ?!?! Well, thats where he came from isnt it ? I think your too protective over this bloke ............ let him stand on his own two feet Ink ......... he's a big boy he can handle it !

I know SFS/SCG is a trust.

ANZ Stadium is operated by the Stadium Australia Group (SAG), comprising Stadium Australia Trust (SAT) and Stadium Australia Management Limited (SAM), under the terms of a Lease from the Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA).

In accordance with the lease, which expires on 31 January 2031, SAG is responsible for the operation, marketing and maintenance of ANZ Stadium. On expiry of the lease, the operation of the Stadium will revert to SOPA.

SAG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Stadium Investments Pty Ltd (SIPL), a company which is wholly owned by Diversified Infrastructure Trust (DIT). DIT is managed by ANZ Infrastructure Services Limited and its responsible entity is ANZ Specialist Asset Management Limited. DIT has interests in other infrastructure assets and has a range of institutional investors including ANZ.
 
I must be cursed… Got some platinum tickets for SFS/SCG and now we move ? Am I reading that as being a fact now ?

That is just amazing. I got to go to 2 games with these tickets and BOOM we move !

Terrible news….not happy at all.
Terrible ground to watch Rugby League, nightmare to get to, expensive to park at....
Looks like the first year in a long time that I won't be getting a full membership.

3 isn't enough in the Sth West.

Until Sydneysiders accept a move away from suburban grounds to more centralised locations, the JV can't drop back below 4 down there.

If a Leichhardt game has to be sacrificed to do that (As it seems to have been), then so be it.

Longer term we'd hopefully be playing out of a multi purpose 60k Western Sydney stadium, but who knows how far down the road that is.
 
Still pandering to the few ….another backward and short sighted decision by ordinary men with no vision . Lost 6 premium memberships right there congratulations

Think it's a great move. Gives us some financial stability to offset the financial losses we get from Leichardt and Cambo on low game days.

Easy to get to, plenty of parking and public transport.

Hopefully it leads to cheaper member packs for ANZ games so we can pull the crowds in.

Also hoping they get the Al-a-cart member packs out that were suggested last year gold ANZ/silver Cambo/GA Leichardt for example.

I'd rather they looked at the stats. The major one being that we average bigger crowds at ANZ/Allianz than either Lo or CSS. Plus they pay us money for the privilege. But , hey, we dont need the money, were gonna sell directorship to the NRL in exchange for an $8mill loan they we will never re-pay.

One question.Will we have to pay for the removalists?? How much does a re-location cost anyway?

I believe the 'loan' will be deducted from our grants in upcoming years….and we do play the biggest drawing teams at these rent-a-stadiums
 
I did not mind SFS but i can sort of swallow WT giving up home ground advantage for $$ at ANZ… Bulldogs, Souths and Parra all neutral matches there

Souths have never played WT at Campbelltown.. Maybe 2014 is the year for it.

That may be true Ink but we average 24k at Homebush, 13k at LO and 12k at CSS. No matter who we play at LO or CSS we wont get 24k will we. I wonder what the independant directors will make of those stats.
 
Do you think if we played ALL our games at ANZ those averages would stay the same?

They wouldnt.
The lower drawing teams would even the averages out to be comparable to our total home game crowd averages now
