Connor Watson

What gets me about Ted, is that in an interview during all the contract drama he came out saying that he hoped the Wests Tigers fans would stay behind him, and even if he changed clubs the Wests Tigers fans would continue following him to the new club…

He doesn't have to worry now, I'm sure the Roosters will hire some fans for him to follow him around.

Honestly, why the hell is he playing at all for WT for the rest of this year? We don't need him, don't want him. He doesn't deserve to be wearing our jersey.

Rosters salary cap rorting

Gains - Tedesco

Loses - Guerra, Kenny-Dowall, Carter, Knight, Watson

NBA trade machine would accept (Chris Paul for Beverly, Dekker, Lou Williams, Harrell and a first round pick)

Not to mention that the cap is increasing upwards of 1.5-2 million…

So please can we dump the Roosters rorting the cap stuff?

I had a beer with Brett kinmorely a few years ago. He has a very interesting story about the time he was negotiating with the roosters (was when he left Melbourne), I'll leave it at that.

I can tell you i know the father of a former fringe forward who says his son came home with 100k in cash on top of his contract. This is words from the players father. His son was an average fringe player. I also know what perks Tedesco is getting outside the cap too. Roosters, um lets say "petty cash department" pay for everything in his life. Dinners, clothes etc. He pays for nothing ever again is what he's been told.

There will be a whistle blower one day, there has to be.

100K in cash? i find that difficult to believe, there are many issues with receiving that king of money in cash, money laundering comes to mind, how do you process this in your tax return, i suppose you are saying you don't, well i think that's stretching things for the individual involved, essentially involving him in criminal activity. There is also the added problem of not being able to deposit more that than $9,999.99 into an account or buy anything in cash for over this amount without setting of alarms.

I don't know mate, maybe this happened but there would need to be an instruction manual with it for it to work and no one get caught.

I honetly couldn't give you insight into those details as i dont know the answer. I cant imagine this players father making it up about his own son though.

There's the rumour about the games of golf at Roosters. The player plays a game of golf (vs a rep of the Roosters), and the loser gives the winner $10k. The player always wins, and the golf game doesn't even have to occur, the player still gets the $10k.

There was an article on one of the newspapers a few years ago about the signing of an ex Manly forward to a wealthy Sydney Club (a prop). A similar amount to what is mentioned above was given to the player's manager who retained the cash in his safe and gave the player $1k per week cash in hand. The payment was in addition to his documented contract payment.

The ex-Manly prop wouldn't happen to have the same initials as a former Australian prime minister would he?

Yep, whack some $50 notes into a poker machine, hit the buttons a few times, collect your ticket, cash the ticket, done.

Isn't there a difference between non-disclosed monies to the ATO and non-disclosed to the NRL? The NRL would have no rights to see player tax returns, bank statements or ask for information on alternative non-NRL forms of income.

So it's entirely feasible that the money does not have to be laundered to avoid the NRL finding out, even if it's cash in hand, you can declare it to the ATO and not be doing anything illegal without the NRL ever knowing. That's how Melbourne did it, two sets of contracts, payments, accounts and only one shown to the NRL, but nobody got done for tax evasion.

Three weeks ago Tedesco was in a Harvey Norman commercial, there is a known connection between Gerry Harvey and Nick Politis, already collecting some of his TPA’s, they’re not even bothering to hide it too much.

The .01% who don't despise him shouldn't really be classified as fans.
