Yeah, the lockdown isn’t going to end anytime soon.

Lockdown lotto..

742 tomorrow..

This is a great game.
Can I gave a go too?
Let's say: 712

Closest to the pin gets a prize..

Willing to donate one of my 56 Wests Tigers hats

This deserves its own thread - and everyone to join the fun.

You should hope that your number's are'nt correct, only because the last guy who guessed the right numbers got arrested, (the tik tok guy)?

That guy had inside info - Geo and I are just throwing darts!
As an aside, the first TikTok guy that jumps to mind, for me, is Nathan Cleary - and that is not a happy memory!

my golf club a group one club in a LGA of concern is looking to arrange tee time block bookings with other clubs all over Sydney, members complete survey on where they like and the club will contact golf clubs in there area 5km from home
this shows how the rules are around yet stretched.
Probably time golf stops and bike riding etc stops

Not sure why golf is allowed, and I enjoy going for a swing but it is not a zero contact activity (multiple people handling flags and carts,) and generally a social game. One person going for a motorcycle ride (not a group ride,) where they don't stop anywhere is not a concern and compliant within the reasonable excuses for exercise and outdoor recreation.

you can't handle the flag or use shared carts motorised

you can't use shared motorised carts or handle the flag and the holes have stoppers in them and you play in groups of 2

Ah OK, I haven't been for a round for a while so I don't know what measures are in place. Thanks for the clarification.

Got a letter from my doctor allowing me to get Pfizer instead of AZ. Because there is no allowance for special cases in the online booking system for people in my situation, you have to call the Sydney COVID Call Centre regardless fo where you are in NSW.
Currently on my third call to the booking centre as the muzak just cuts out after 30 minutes. Been trying to get through for over two hours. I get there is high demand but you would think the current situation and their urging everyone to get vaccinated might inspire them to increase capacity.

My wife has been really angry in relation to this stuff recently.

My take is that we all need to be patient and accepting of the situation. The situation is that we are in a pandemic with an outbreak of the Delta strain and we are delivering so many jabs now the system is under pressure.

My daughter is lining up now to get her jab and she has texted me stating the queue is massive.

I view all of this as fantastic. I think people want to get vaccinated and we are delivering heaps of jabs.

I'm not disagreeing re the patience and understanding but given the gravity of the situation you would think they had learnt their lesson re not making things doable. QLD/ SA and WA aren't perfect but gee miles ahead of the clown in charge of NSW.

What lockdown?

Most people are doing the right thing. It’s a small minority, for whatever reason, that isn’t.

So after three hours on the phone after the hospital transferred me to the number a kind person (I mean that) answered to tell me "I can't help you'. "You need to call the hospital.' ARRGHH. She did transfer me to the clinic whereupon I was connected to an answering machine. Left my name and number.
Sorry but it's not good enough.

My daughter and I have just gotten back from a bike ride (a few laps around our block) where we didn't come within 5 mtrs of another group of people. I was wearing a mask the entire time, how is this any different than people out for a walk or jog? There has to be some way to maintain a level of fitness.

I'm thinking maybe it all has to stop for awhile bike riding golf running etc
golf as an example I dint come within 300m of another group but still it probably shouldn't be allowed. I know it is not allowed in Vic and was not allowed in Qld when they locked down

**Rule breaking not to blame for rising cases**

After authorities repeatedly admonishing large numbers of people for doing the wrong thing, the deputy chief health officer for NSW has said non-compliance is not to blame for the rising cases.

Dr Marianne Gale said the virus is mostly spreading among young people and essential service workers.

"One of the major drivers of the higher case numbers that we’re seeing in the areas of southwestern Sydney and Western Sydney is larger households that we’re seeing," she said.

"We’re seeing younger people and those who are often those authorised workers, those people that provide essential services, who work in aged care, work in disability, who work in healthcare settings, who work in factories, work in shopping centres. And so, transmission is happening between workplaces and households.

Honestly, I don't think you can go that far, canning golf I can understand, but people exercising around their neighbourhood needs to remain. I need that outlet and know what would happen to me mentally if it was taken away.

The great outdoors is probably the safest place to be. Indoors in unventilated areas and confined spaces are the worst.

I only leave home to collect my shopping (direct to boot,) which I do online. I am the only one who leaves the house.

I work from home.

I homeschool my son.

I exercise by taking walks around the local lake or going for a bushwalk.

I have only left home for an annual cardiologists appointment and to drive my wife to a pregnancy ultrasound appointment, which I could not attend so I sat in the car.

Pray tell, am I doing the wrong thing @pawsandclaws1 ?

Congratulations on the pregnancy. A shining light in a time of darkness.

Vacc locked in for Tuesday lads.
Pfizer crew checking in.

Not worried of the outcome, as long as I survive.

80% by November.
Let's Go!
