It appears that there is a 4th wave about to hit the world so I assume people are speaking about it.

I'm hopeful we are all okay but I think it's a little scary.

Plenty of tin foil hat stuff still going on within this thread. I think it's a political fight for some people and that is where all the tin foil hat stuff comes from.

People can review things all they like.....but I also think that some people can be easily fooled....

When you say political fight,is that because some people of one side of the Govt dont like the other side so they belittle the other side...
Or is it that the Govt that gets voted in is absolutely corrupt as is the opposition but people stick with what they say even though they have been paid off by big pharma and other interests in the vax agenda that people are blind to it because it doesnt suit their personal agenda...

Interesting the amount of CEOs and political reps from all sides are suddenly resigning from a lucrative positions worldwide...

In all seriousness this is exactly how I see it.

To me the pandemic is sort of fascinating and that is just the science of the whole situation. The science to me isn't political. COVID is though for some bizarre reason political. You see this everywhere now though.

Honestly I don't understand why there is this political fight. I don't view the world through the same lens that you do.

I just read an article on vaccine hesitancy. They stated things like what you are stating. I think it's the same reason people support Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon. I think it's bizarre but it's clearly a way say 10%-30% of the population think. It might even be higher than that in countries where there are good reasons not to trust the system.

Unfortunately in the USA it is very political with most of the antivaxers being Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon supporting Republicans.Currently the States getting highest rates of Covid are the Republican states. The same can not be said for any other country in the world where covid is affecting one side of politics more(unless it is a single party dictatorship). It is far more accepted by all parties
It is interesting but not suprising that the antivax political support in Australia seems to be from the far right Alan Jones Craig Kelly Clive Palmer and the minister from Manila Christensen.Thank goodness they don't have the support of mainstream Australian citizens. All our major political parties support continued vaccinations

Covid isn’t political, mandates are. Specifically because a lot of people, including myself, place a higher value on their human rights and social liberties than people like you.
I’ve looked at the statistics and taken from my own actual life experience of having worked through the whole thing on construction sites where no one got sick. I’m not someone who’s ever had political interests, especially U.S. politics.
I think it’s generally accepted that politicians lie, mainstream media lie and propaganda has been used politically for hundreds of years. That’s not a theory, it’s history.
I have no issue with you doing your thing, not my business regardless of what I think.
Problem is when I do mine, you feel the need to judge, blanket label and stigmatise me.
People like you need me to be an ‘anti vaxxer’ (which I’m personally not) or a ‘conspiracy theorist’ (when I’ve actually based MY decisions on personal priorities and experiences, statistics and historically proven realities?), or a political nut job (I’m actually a swinging voter with no biased loyalty to any of them)?
You do this for YOU.
I 100% guarantee that if you lot stopped your condescending, sanctimonious, stigmatising, judgements of those of us who support pro-choice (that includes yours) this thread would die off pretty soon after.
It’s not politics it’s plain old bullshit.
The people you live to judge are genuinely PRO CHOICE.
People like you are genuinely NOT.

I'll add that I haven't condemned anyone to hell. You wouldn't believe it but I'm an atheist.

I think you mean narcissist

Not very nice of you and completely out of place @leichhardtjunior to suggest @Earl may be a narcissist.
You'll find a narcissist has a very hard/harsh edge with their attitude towards other people, and that will come out in their writing.
Imo Earl doesnt display any narcissistic characteristics whatsoever, so lay off him please.

True.

Russia are also heavily into it:

Sorry guys but please enlighten me, the Newcastle cluster are they all vaxed people? If they are, wasn’t the vaccine supposed to reduce transmission - it obviously hasn’t done its job well because it has spread like wildfire

I'd go so far to say it will definitely reduce transmission. That doesn't mean it will stop it.

You have to stop looking at COVID and the vaccine through this lens that the vaccine stops it completely and saves everyone's life. It doesn't do that.

So far it is been hugely beneficial though. We've done really well with Delta and it's basically because of our high vaccination rates. Without that high vaccination rates it would have been an unmitigated disaster.

I read an article on vaccine hesitancy yesterday and mentioned it on here. It's not just the USA. I'd say the anti-vaxx sentiment is stronger in countries with more reason to have feelings that the system is against you.

This is interesting.

1. The UK is responding slow as usual but at least they seem to be facing the issue. I don't get that impression in Australia yet.
2. The UK are pushing booster shots and people appear to be responding. I have booked my booster shot in at 5 months rather than 6 months.
3. The data out of South Africa is really good.
4. South Africa has a much lower vaccination rate than Australia but a much higher rate of immunity from contracting the virus. If you contract the virus the immune response is much broader and could be called better. So the issue in Australia is I think twofold:-
a) We have most of our immunity via vaccination. Is the virus mild enough or the vaccine good enough to protect us.
b) The unvaccinated will often not have contracted the virus. When they contract it will it be mild enough so that the hospital system isn't inundated. The unvaccinated are also a low percentage in Australia so maybe it won't be a public health issue.

There is no doubt whatsoever that the vaccines help stop the spread of the virus. To suggest otherwise is nonsense.

We have been open for a couple of months thanks to each and every person that chose to get dosed and sadly some half the nation spent the previous 3 months plus in lockdown due to federal government failures in procurement and then rollout.

Whilst I think it is stupid to have crowded indoor venues where people spend hours mingling open at this stage, what really pisses me off are people that wear a mask on their bloody chin or sitting below their nose on public transport and the like. Particularly males.

Dr Robert Mallone…look him up…

This was hilarious wasn't it. That was him. Conspiracy theorists keep getting it wrong don't they.

He was on the podcast that was pulled down from YT for misinformation after one of those conspiracy theorists posted his conspiracy dribble about COVID on-line and he died from COVID. It's actually tragic.

Earl...if you go through duckduckgo search engine and in the search bar type in David Icke...there is videos and articles on various subjects,Omicron is in there...
Check out Andrew Kaufman also...

That was the website that mentioned the COVID vaccine has given everyone AIDS and the only way to halt the effects is to have a booster.

A true source of truth. In the words of Public Enemy, "Fight the Power".

I know people are pulling my leg when they list David Icke (the inventor of the shape shifter lizard people concept) as a reference source for information.

I really think a 4th wave is coming as well. I'd expect much higher case rates going forward.

Earl, you mentioned to me on here a few days ago that the PCR tests are the gold standard for testing for Covid 19...
According to Americas Frontline Doctors..their official website...the CDC has withdrawn support for PCR tests...
The CDC reports that there are a large number of false positives ...
the CDC gives an example in the U,K, where they test 1 million people a day, they are getting 5% false tests which equates to 50,000 in 1 million tests are false..
the CDC consulted with F.D.A. to cease the EUA ...and will cease the use on 31st Dec 2021...
