I don’t think the 50 over game would even exist anymore if it wasn’t for the World Cup.

That's a pity my favourite game is the ODI
Australia should love it since 1975 we've had 13 world cups and we've won 6 times and runner up twice
Also I loved World Series Cricket every summer Aust plus 2 other countries and a day at the SCG great value an 8 hour day
Now to schedule all this franchise cricket there is no room in the calendar
BBL takes over so don't feel any passion about supporting a team with a mix of players from any state or country
Slowly its destroying the game

Assume Head and Marsh better for the run as they are playing 1st redball game in months
Assume Cummins also better for run as he hasn't played red ball in months
I've dropped Marnus ,Smith and Lyon as imo they are out of form

Ps There's a a few days to come in this test and I really hope these 3 make me look foolish
 
Haven't watched today. Didn't yesterday either. I suppose ive entered the dinosaur category.
To be honest and transparent, ive struggled to feel invested in the test team with Pat as the skipper. There have been some political statements that have put me a little offside and then this year to miss a chance to represent your country for a concert was the final nail in the coffin. Resting ....blah, blah, blah.
Australia has been found out. Haven't respected their opponent and are getting the arse kicking they deserve. Pull your finger out, prepare and treat a test cap the way it should be treated.

They won't be dropping Lyon, although I like Murphy.

I would give Smith and Labuchagne the first 3 tests and reassess, but there's no way selectors drop either of them this series.

I don't think any of the guys above have totally knocked the door down, bar maybe Inglis. I don't think any of them navigate that Aus first innings either. Im still backing Smith in to put it together this series.

We are in big trouble for the next few years. I just don't see where the batting is going to come from. Konstas, Kingsell and Wyllie are young and talented, but a long way off test cricket.

We need ti unearth a talent through the short game that has the mentality to transform that talent to test cricket. Like we did with Warner. Maybe that's Inglis, maybe Phillippe.

That's the point I'm making. There's a lack of talent coming through. India is the home of T20 but they're going to easily pass 400 here.

What looks really bad apart from our batting is our performance in the field the most sloppy I can remember fumbles galore ,numerous run out opportunities with throws missing the stumps .Huge number of no balls 7 by Marsh alone
When we won the world cup a year ago our fielding in the semi and final was incredible
We look akin to Wests Tigers with little pre season not being match fit
By the way THIS IS THE MOST EXTRAS Australia has ever
conceded in a home test
This is embarrassing now is Marnus rubbish to follow a few overs of rubbish
from Marsh
What on earth are your tactics Pat ?
I blame our coaching staff for the total lack of preparation in the weeks preceding this important series

So simple Australia have 5 overs tonight + about 170 overs next 2 days and all they need is 534 runs at about 3 runs per over
