Boland and Neser both injuredFor bowlers, Neser, Boland and Richardson (if he can stay on the field) are the next men up. But form in Shield:
Gannon 15 wickets at 23
McAndrew 14 at 20
O'Neil 13 at 20

Based on this Konstas and Inglis derseve a goLooking at a "best of the rest" of form players in Shield who could be picked:
Top order:
- Konstas 347 at 69
- Harris 342 at 57
- Hunt 333 at 41
- Weatherald 311 at 44
Middle Order:
Cartwright 433 at 63
Inglis 297 at 99
Webster 250 at 50
Konstas, Inglis and Cartwright all probably knocking on the door.
Webster and Weatherald smokeys
Konstas (19), Inglis (29) and Hunt (27) the only ones under 30
Only guys under 25 in the top 20 shield run scorers are Konstas, Goodwin (22) with 288 runs at 48, Davies (24) with 260 at 37
I think you are dead wrong. It might be the 5th time I'm saying it in this thread, but I still don't understand the hate for T20.
It brings in a new crowd, it brings in a new set of skills for a different type of people.
A certain kind of a person is required for Test Cricket and a different type of person for T20.
The type of people who enjoy Test match, just like the type of player who is a good Test player are rare now. It's not because T20 has come in, it's the changing of times.
T20 cricket hasn't ruined Test cricket, maybe slightly fast tracked the inevitable irrelevancy of it in this day and age.
I have grown up with Cricket shoved in my face my whole life so Test, ODI, T20, T10, whatever it is- I will watch it and I will follow it. Not even 5% of people in Australia would be in that boat.
Agree ,we need to stop going back to batsmen that have been selected and dropped on numerous occasions
This includes Renshaw ,Harris ,Bancroft
Only way forward is new talent
We must find our version of Jaiswal

He may have just been recalled. He struggled for a while and got dropped. Goodwin”s father played for WA and test cricket for Zimbabwe. Presumably Jayden would be eligible to play for the Zimbos but I’d imagine he’d rather play for Australia.Missed that. Did he start the year dropped or injured? Would love him to get another crack
Goodwin batting 3 for WA at 22. They must rate him highly but I can't say I know much about him.
Definition of insanityCan't find the article now ....but McDonald says he expects to see a different Marnus next Test
Sounds like no changes for 2nd Test
Australia's batting is starting to resemble a certain NRL sideOur day 4 batting not too bad
Today we've lost 5-215; which is ok but
Of this 215 runs kwajaja contributed 1 and Smith 17
Head 89 ,Marsh 47 ,Carey 30* extras also big
Starc just got caught by a screamer at short leg for 12
Finally lose by 295 runs !
India have won 3 of last 4 test matches in Australia
Looking at our batting line up and average score
McSweeney 5.0
Kwajaja 6.0
Labuschagne 2.5
Smith 8.5
Head 50.0
Marsh 26.5
Carey 28.5
Starc 19.0
Cummins 2.5
Lyon 2.5
Hazelwood 11 runs not out
What stands out is 1-4 (terrible)
5-8 ( ok Head great)
Basically top 4 average total 22 runs between them all
You can't win tests with this top order !
If they make zero changes i predict we lose in Adelaide
Starting to wonder about the coach
Boland to now?Boland and Neser both injured
