did the storm offer cronk a contract?

Cronk had an option in his favour for next year at the Storm..He didn't exercise it quoting a move to Sydney to be closer to Tara..

Moley reporting Cronk had a Medical with the Rorters this week…PASSED..

If you’ve only ever driven a BMW convertible would you ever consider a Kia as your next car…?

Lebron James is the Kia ambassador plus his own car is a Kia, and he loves them.

Shows you what a Sales Percentage can do for a person

How does Cronk's nose get through? That thing is a mess.

I rate Cronk highly and can't understand any rugby league fan calling him a myth.

Played in 7 grand finals for 4 wins. Played over 300 games and one of the reason QLD & Aust have dominated. Not an imortal but next level down

I would perfer him to retire or play part time for the Storm than for another club.

If he goes to chooks and Pearce leaves then the fallout will outweight his class.

Will miss watching the greatest spine in league history go around week in week out.

If we didn't have to put up with the crap of his fellow spine members and the endless wrestling, then more of us might miss them as well. If WT are not playing them, then Melbourne get a wide berth from my viewing list.

Just read the NRL.com message. MP will be slightly peeved.

The Sydney Roosters have today announced the signing of Cooper Cronk on a two-year deal for seasons 2018 and 2019.

33 year-old Cronk is a two-time Dally M Player of the Year medalist and has played 323 first grade games since making his NRL debut with the Melbourne Storm in 2004.

"We are delighted to have secured the services of Cooper for the next two seasons," said Roosters Chief Executive Joe Kelly.

"Cooper has played the game at the highest level for a number of years and we are keenly aware of what he brings to the club. Together with the established leaders within our squad, we see him as a wonderful addition to our roster," he added.

Cronk expressed his delight to be joining the foundation club, saying: "The Sydney Roosters are a proud club with an esteemed history, and this is an exciting new opportunity for me."

"It marks the start of a new chapter for me both professionally and personally and I look forward to joining my new teammates and coaches, and immersing myself in the club's culture in lead-up to the 2018 season," he added.

The Australian representative will officially join the Roosters in early 2018 following his World Cup commitments.

Yep just saw it too. No surprises there now the Chooks have jiggled their books to fit him in or shafted Pearce off to Newcastle!

It's very disappointing as the strong teams just keep getting stronger 😔

**Is anyone else here completely stupefied that we haven't made a really serious play at Cronk?**
The most influential position in Rugby League is the halfback and we have arguably had the competition's weakest for 4 years and likely at least a few more.
Meanwhile, the best halfback (bar JT) is looking at offers and we stay silent? **WTF!**

Side note: please let's not make this an argument about Brooks. Like the rest of us, I badly wanted for him to blossom and despite better judgment I was actually pleased we re-invested in him by re-signing him. It was romantic and with wholly good intention. But he hardly developed and we can blame other factors (like no forwards, poor coaching, anything) but we need to face up the fact that the investment in Brooks has not paid off. Nor is it looking like paying off, and we are stuck with him for the near future.

But we don't need to be.

* Cronk would fix our kicking game.
He would be a half who could commit to tackles.
He would be a leader.
He would call plays. Actual plays that might come off.
He is a winner.
He has experience.
He has an unbelievable work ethic.
He isn't flashy, but he would bring the crowds.
He would have to be THE best possible person to influence our youngsters.

I honestly can't think of any negative. Even one year of Cronk is better than the alternative.

Please don't tell me we don't have the cap space. If Roosters, Broncos, Sharks can find a way to pay their players then so can we.
If you can guarantee Nathan Cleary is coming here then that would be one thing, but in the interim why in hell haven't we thrown the bloody chequebook at this guy! It honestly beggars belief.

He might want a glamour club, but make him an offer he just can't refuse! Pay overs! Pay anything!

Tigers getting him, or at least making a real play, would signal real intent and give us fans something to truly be excited about. Cronk is something else. It would mean so much.

Tigers management we implore you.

How do you know we didnt make enquiries?

Let go of three or four guys to spend $2m on two players. Apparently Jennings got punted because of cap pressure which was what two seasons ago?

As if Watson, Guerra, SKD and Evans were on that coin between them.

This is how they work….politics calls his supplier and says you want to keep your contract with me you need to pay Cronk $500k.

i did when i realised how much a BMW cost to service as opposed to a vehicle from Asia

It's not only Politis,
Mark Bouris is a mad supporter of the Chooks. And there's another Multi who supports them as well( can't remember name)
Tpa's aren't a problem to them. And they can't be banned because that's how the Nrl get around the problems that the Cap could produce.
While I agree that they're a pain, if the TPAs were banned, the Cap would go almost straight away. With players taking it to court.
Then it really would be the haves and the have nots , with the have nots struggling to even keep the haves in sight

In that case you could not afford the BMW in the first place….two things drivers of prestige cars dont worry about....cost of petrol and cost to service their car
