Curtis Sironen released [Official p.40]

Ha, the coach should sack himself first off. Then we can gauge the quality of our roster under a coach who can (this is a unique concept), coach!

So 3 coaches in 5 years hasn't solidified for you 'the quality of our roster'. :roll

He is a ball player - that does not seem to be allowed to do that.

Good ball playing forwards do not grow on trees.

I used to think that Sirro's ball play was being repressed by the coach, but after 3 weeks of Elijah Taylor ball-play and praise from JT, I think otherwise.

Hard to create much when you are bludging one player in from the winger.

Sironen has been very disappointing. He looks every inch a footballer, but just fails to live up to all the hype. I hope he finds his place at the Roosters - I think the pressure of having to live in the old man's shadow here was too much for him.

Don't agree, I know he hasn't lived up to the hype! And he needs a rocket up him, but he is a ball playing second rower that's not costing us much at the moment. I don't see the point in offloading him when he is reasonably cheap!!!
Q Where are our ball playing edge second rowers at the club???? Aloli is another front rower that just runs the ball, no second faze.
I don't think we should be getting rid of another second rower as our stocks are low!! Maybe the star signing of the new plodder from parra??
Especially with the scarecrow, and were he will be next year, I wouldn't be getting rid of him…

I think u will find Alioai is better at creating 2nd phase than Siro. I know we havent seen it yet but its a strength in his game. JT may be requesting he keeps it simple ATM until he more accustomed to the NRL, but he can pop a ball.

Sironen is not a ball playing second rower. He was a five eighth who played before the line and is now a second rower who hasn't been able to adjust to playing at the line. Every time Sironen has tried to offload early in his career the ball has gone to ground. Being a ball player before the line and one at the line are very different skills. Siro has never shown any skill for the latter.

Fair point for the most part, but he is the best we have he has size and ability!
But instead of the scarecrow saying to him that I am dropping u to state cup, in that time I want u to work on your defence and offloads. We really need u in top form and want u back in first grade ASAP!
Instead Scarecrow says look your dropped and free to find somewhere else to play! Joke of player management…
The sooner this fool is gone the better.
Again I know Siro is not setting the world on fire, but for the money he is on it is still worth the gamble he will come good!!!

And you base these comments on?

All statements about Sironen playing State Cup from JT has been how it is a testament to the clubs increasing depth. Hardly a sign he isn't wanted.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with what you are saying. However…

Where is JT's conversation "you're dropped, find another club etc." so that I can hear/read and confirm that it is fact.

or

Is this what you THINK transpired so you can put the boot into him again?

Look its been quoted, that he's 'free to find somewhere else' who do u think has instigated that??
Hence the thread…

It was also said that JT rates him. Its no secret the club has had cap problem and hence no surprise that they were prepared to lets players go if they want to move on.

Smart cap management has seen us obtain the class of ET.

Facts don't u stop putting the boot into farahs head!!! Does it??
Difference is farahs a club legend, and scarecrow is a joke that is never really funny or only in a sad way!!
Funny u leap to this idiots defence, every chance u get! But a guy who won us a comp u hate, yer real loyal!! Why don't u bring up super coach potter again? He's doin a great job at the knights..

I don't see anything wrong with a player being told that " his free to find another Club " just like E.T would of been told by the Panthers….it's just telling a player your going to have to show exceptional form in State Cup to get a run in 1st Grade again or telling a player that his style doesn't suit the way the Coach plays .

Obviously Farah wasn't impressed when he got told and couldn't except being told such news .
Maybe the timing wasn't the best at that stage of the year but i don't feel there is anything wrong in telling a player his surplus to requirements at that Club , happens in Soccer all the time hence why there is a Transfer Market mid year where players get sold off when they don't suit a new Coaches system and that's what happened with E.T when Griifin came in.

I doubt the club actually told him he could go and find a new club, my guess he probably through his manager asked for a release after being unhappy to be dropped and the role he was asked to play in the team..and the club said sure if you think the grass is greener elsewhere go for it

Not sure exactly how it happened but obviously the Panthers Coaching stuff identified that E.T wasn't really part of there plans , if not they would of not released him to us .

Geez, there sure are some very angry ants in this thread. Why is it that every thread degenerates into a Farah Vs Taylor brawl? It does get a bit boring.

Yes it is tiresome.
Just as tiresome as the name calling.

That's just how some people roll I suppose. They can't logically explain their argument so they have to resort to unpleasantry to try and highlight their point. Sad really.
