If Nofo goes to Souths, we’ll get Mansour and the gap between us and the top teams widens again. Same old same old NRL. Yes, we’ll survive but I think some of us fans are ready for more than just surviving.

Well at least if we play Souths we know which wing to target.

No great loss if he goes, the $500k could be better spent imo.

But top line players are off us Avo, losing Nofa is just another example if it happens. no use having a truck load of money/space when your image with the best players is mud.

Nofa is heading into most likely his last contract which he said himself so I understand why it’s dragging on. Probably weighing up his offers to see what’s best for him. We’ve offered around $500k a season for 4 years and I honestly don’t see Souths matching that offer. However when you’re a club like Souths salary cap doesn’t matter. Funnelling money through 3rd parties is so common

Ch7 reporting Souffs have made an offer to Nofo Sunrise this morning

We missed JAC a state and international rep player and in the past we have lost teddy
We will survive if we lose David to souths
Do not pay overs

Be interesting to know what they are offering not sure what Nofo's on here but you would think Souffs offer would have to be at least $350k and also how Alex Johnson would be feeling taking a cut to sign with Souffs and also was the leading try scorer in 2020 and has regularly been up there with the top try scorers each year

I think we've recruited quite well and we have a focus on quality juniors. I think paying $500k for 4 years for Nofo is bad business.

And I thought the club was over paying stupid money and being dictated by players obviously I was wrong, if they pay 500 k for a speed hump someone needs to be shown the door!

Agreed.

I'd find really hard to believe Souths would offer Nofo more than 350k. I believe AJ re-signed for about 300-350k and he can at least cover FB. Mansour would be about the same money as well after Riff throw in a bit. Souths don't seems to me to be a team to pay overs for backs so unless Nofo is willing to take a lot less than the Tigers offer I don't see it happening.

Looking at the photos of players returning to training on the WT'S web site good to see they have taken noticed and put names to the photos the player that stood out to me was Allan Fitzgibbon looks like a Beast and I thought he was a back rower but his background is wing maybe Madge feels he has a good group of backs and will stand firm, if Nofo goes and we sign Mansour and get Laurie a year early sounds like good team management.

I think we’ve recruited ‘ok’ and the strategy of targeting star players at junior levels is a gamble. We can’t keep losing every player that shows they are a top flight NRL talent. This only adds to the perception that is preventing us from getting any proven difference makers on our roster.

I'm not a huge Mansour fan but if Nofoaluma goes, Mansour on around $250k and Laurie coming a year early would make sense.

If Nofoaluma stays we should avoid Mansour as he and Nofo are basically the same player.

Rumour has it we paid nearly a mill for Mbye, Packer and Reynolds, was door shown?

If the wabbits want Nofo I'd take Jaxson Paulo off their hands.

Just as long as we don’t get Robert Jennings 2.0 — Alex Johnston...

How can possible recruits be beasts if they haven't played an NRL game ...or even shone at CC level ....a lot of posters set themselves up for disappointment

I think Mansour signing would happen only if Madge felt he desperately needed Laurie in 2021 and if Nofo left
