Has any club signed Lodge for 2016?

Wasted talent IMO.

Every club needs a few honest toilers. The Storm won Grand Finals with Bryan Norrie no superstar but did his job.

Lodge is the only person responsible for wasting his talent.

Yeah, unfortunately Lodge's problems lie beyond his talent, which is not in question. It's just what's going on in his head which has caused him to be in the situation he is.

^^^^^^ always ahead of the curve…

Matt Woods>>>>Parra

Spewing if true, he is still under contract for 2016 so is there any reason behind releasing him?

Player swap with Josh Aloiai from Parra NYC Prop/Back-row…

I've gotta soft spot for big Jack. He's just an honest toiler. Every club needs a few of these guys to 'fill in' when necessary. Doesn't let anybody down when he plays. Good re-signing. I hope the next one will be Halatau.

He did step up pretty well when we needed him in his first year given it was probably before his time…

I don't know if it made any difference long term, but he was badly affected by the Boils disease during preseason last year and did not play for many weeks, nor come back well from it.

Jack was really good in his first yr. So good that at the time I didn't think he was too far behind Woods when Woods made his debut. I remember people would talk up Matt Groat for God knows what reason when it was clear he had nothing, yet they write off this kid?

lol, funny huh…
Groat was an absolute pillow.
Talk of the town though, along with a certain Neil Begovich??
Best front rowers ever.... neither of 'em did a thing.

Begovic (as far as I know) has chosen another carrier after U20.

Groat was smashed out of the game by Teo. Grub.

Begovich was more than tough enough and good enough to go all the way - unfortunately for us, he was also smart enough to work out there are other ways to make a living.
Didn't give a hoot for the fanfare other junior superstars crave - had a real job and improved his position there…

Groat was ruined by being brought on too early by Sheens. He had the size and showed he had what it took in U20's to be a good front rower. Sheens though he'd simply follow Woods' lead and flower early.

Woods was one out of the box, rarer than hens teeth for props.

Groat was a big fat kid, good at pushing little kids around - that's all!!

Ruined… He never had it!! Can't even get a gig in the ESL

If he was good enough for firsts, he wouldn't have been stood up in 20's when he went back….

I stated why I thought he never fired. He simply wasn't ready for first grade as an 18 year old. A lot of young props aren't.

Truth is subjective when you try to state opinions as facts.

Maybe he wasn't ready "As an 18 year old" History will never know if he would have ever been ready for NRL.
One thing history does know now, Is that he is not an NRL player at the moment.

That may change - Others, Including Ryan Tandy came home late in their careers and made names for themselves as a solid prop - Tandy was 6 years after he debuted.
