Answering the same questions from journalists over a few hours is enough to test any player’s patience but for Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah, he just took it all in his stride today at the Sydney Football Stadium.
>
After five long and agonising years, Wests Tigers were excited to take part in the annual NRL Captains’ Call for the Telstra Premiership Finals Series whereby NRL Chief Executive David Gallop joined players from the eight teams for a media conference.
>
Instead of taking part in Mad Monday, Farah arrived at the SFS in a relaxed mood and enjoyed a coffee and a laugh with Roosters captain Braith Anasta and Manly skipper Jamie Lyon.
>
Upon slipping into his full playing kit, Farah participated in photo shoots, television promotions to even a good old tug of war with kids from the Minto Cobras.
>
It was then time for the main event, the Captains Call media conference, where the eight captains were lined up alongside each other, Farah sitting alongside Canberra’s Alan Tongue and Anasta.
>
MC Andrew Voss jokingly asked Farah would this be the closest Anasta would get to the field following news Wests Tigers were taking over the SFS and its surrounds, leaving the Roosters to train elsewhere.
>
“I think I saw Brian Smith this morning putting in some CCTV cameras trying to get some vision,’’ Farah joked.
>
“The Roosters can prepare as well as they like. Come Saturday night, we are just hoping the Wests Tigers fans outnumber the Roosters fans and make it a home ground advantage for us.
>
“I’m sure if they fill out the stadium, it will be a great spectacle.”

How good is it…worth the wait indeed...

Finally his loyaltys been rewarded….Farah is a club legend and is closely following Buckets, Hodgo and Skando as top blokes off field but fierce competitors on it

Onya Robbie…Tiger...Tiger!!!...We'll be there in numbers on Saturday night...hopefully it will be a night to remember, just like the 2005 Semi Final against the Dragons at the SFS.....Carn Tigers!....

One thing that has always stuck with me about Farah is what he had to say after 05 about Sheens telling them if they win they would be brothers for life…you could hear it in his voice how much that stuff meant to him when he spoke about it, he sounded like a kid in a candy store.

I'm very pleased for him, it would look like his decision to stay at the club has been vindicated and there is a bright future in store.
