Farah/Taylor Thread...

I consider that SMH article the probable last comprehensive interview of RF and therefore appropriately covered everything. It is an highly unusual situation that a player threatened with demotion was always going to be in SOO. It provides a good background story for the SOO and maybe the only melodrama of all the NSW players. The SMH does rehash the same story much too often.

Olsen Filipaina represented his Country from reserve grade on a few occassions…as did our very own Dene Halatau...

The late great Arthur Beetson was picked from reserve grade from Parra to play SOO as was Dave Brown and Chris Close

You're gullible if you believe Daley would have stuck to his word. Farah was never going to play a full season in reserve grade and Loz knew it. Though anything is possible with Daley. He virtually names his team before round 1 anyway, giving players no incentive to impress.

You think? He made a bunch of changes this time around and still nobody is any the wiser as to whether or not Tedesco would have been chosen.

One feels Moylan was always gonna make it no matter how many stats teddy topped

You could be right there. And I have to say, I'm in Moylans corner. He has so much flexibility positionally and at some point will end up in the halves in a year or two. It's then that Tedesco should be given his chance as fullback in my opinion.

…...........So I can see why Daley has opted for Farah even though Ennis is in better form.

Do you reckon it was that or was Daley just worried about being slagged off in the media if he didn't select him?

I wonder what some of our fans would make of Cam Smith???

The complete the opposite of Farah right?

Signing 2 contracts (But we should feel sorry for the players)

Demanding an on air apology from Channel 9 (just get over it Cameron)

Just a thought.

I don't particularly like Cam Smith, but he does not play for the club I support (nor undermine it) so I couldn't really give a tinker's cuss about him.

Doesn't matter that he's a cap cheat, along with the rest of the players involved at the storm. Also along with Parra, and the players when The Dogs got caught.
Yes Cams a true gentleman .

If anyone knows that all Robbie cares about is Origin, its Daley

Geez bag Fatah out all you like but to single him out about not caring about anything but the blues jersey stinks. The whole premises of SOO for both teams is to drum into the players the importance of the jersey and giving it everything you have got
If he is thinking any less he shouldn't be there and I can guarantee that every player in the NRL would have in there career goals to play SOO above and beyond most anything else - and there focus if in the team is on that alone and not their clubs.
Very easy to target players in teams struggling to suggest that's all they care about when the players from higher ranked teams for obvious reasons are not questioned. At this very moment all players playing SOO are only thinking about one thing and that's the way the way it should be

The WT and JT identified mid last year that Farah and our halves DO NOT work well together.

Through his Manager, Ayoub, the WT tried to broker a deal to move him on….all in the quiet. When no deal could be done Ayoub, went to the press and painted Farah the victim and guess what it worked.

Bottom line is Farah is well past his best, even though he is earning more now than he ever has... our record this year with him playing is 1-6, when he is off we look slick and confident, when he is playing we look disjointed and slow....sadly, Farah will not accept he is past it, nor is he willing to allow the WT to move on...and for the rest of 2016 and 2017 the WT and sadly, JT is 'stuck' with Farah unless he decides to take on other options...meanwhile, we and JT will soldier on with Farah playing FG, because if he drops him to NSW Cup all Hell will break lose and the bad publicity to the club will be in overdrive...so we will go on losing games with Farah playing and of course the pressure will be squarely on JT to the point where he will get sacked or quit...so the new coach comes in and what will change?...nothing....the same issue will be there...meanwhile Farah will be in the corner smiling while the club he supposdly loves goes down the gurgler because of the situation...sheez can we put up with this for another 1.5 years????...No wonder Brooks and Moses are hanging out....its not the coach that's the issue, its the Farah situation that worries them...

Tigerap you have hit the nail on the head- it's an awful situation for this club to be in, and it's all in the hands of Robbie Farah-but I don't think he will do anything, just stay put, not a good idea to get on the wrong side of RF :smiling_imp:

Don't under estimate the role of Sam Ayoub in all of this…his is a cro*k of a Manager.

wow this thread blew up like I never thought it would.

Lol… Funny that
The only thing that pierced my curiosity, was the fact that Robbie chose a married man to go partying with him for 3 days, instead of a single mate.
At least he did the gentlemanly thing and asked the wife for permission first.
Lots of luck in Origin Robbie. Hope you kill it, as I can't stand Ennis.

This looks like it's the situation. I heard Bobcat Ryan also make the comment recently on radio how "Two is company but three's a crowd" when came to Robbie playing as well as both halves.

However, there is no way in the world that JT will drop him this year… BUT I saw in yesterday's Sun-Herald that there were mentions of Farah and EPL next year. Where there's smoke??

I think Jennings may have been in State Cup when he was selected a few years ago.

Clubs move players on all the time. I cannot recall anyone else making the same kind of fuss that Robbie has, and seemingly continues to do.

I really hope JT takes the opportunity to rest Farah this weekend so that he can remain fresh for Origin II and the Tigers can make it three wins in a row

This is where hopefully Mark O'Neill can put aside friendships and bring Farah into line. By all accounts O'Neill is making his presence felt around the place. However this should be something high on his agenda and would win him the respect of most.

I would be saying to Robbie if I were Oneill

1\. No More talk about Taylor, just play football. Otherwise a Fine or dropped to NSW Cup.
2\. If your form does not improve your not in our plans for 2017\. We need more wins when your on the field and less talk about the past.

I suppose all you blokes bagging Farah straight out lie when someone asks you a question?
So much for telling someone what you really think.
He said he's over what happened but won't forget.
Too bad some people on here can't do the same and get over it.
