You know what, all the fan anger about this whole situation is a bit daft. What no-one seems willing to acknowledge is that all the following statements can be entirely true:
1) It would be best for all parties if Farah moved on.
2) Farah is no longer worth a superstar salary under the cap.
3) Farah could have handled this situation much better.
4) The Tigers have treated a club legend shoddily, and could probably have got a better result by doing a lot of things differently.
5) Farah was entirely entitled to sign the contract he was offered and to decline to walk away from money he is owed or sign at a club he doesn't want to play for just to do the Tigers a favour.

Personally I quite happily believe all five of these. Why do so many people want to turn it into some sort of contemporary morality play?

This is all that needs to be said. Great summary.

Its a shame so many ppl want to crucify one party or another.

Spot on 2041\. Yes its time for Farah to move on. But as a club legend the amount of personal attacks he has coped on here is unbelievable. People only talk about the farah brand being damaged in this saga. But the tigers brand has been badly damaged aswell. Lets hope our senior management finally stand up and bring an end to this debacle. The sooner its resolved the better.

Personally I quite happily believe all five of these. Why do so many people want to turn it into some sort of contemporary morality play?

Cam McInnes Seeking A Release From Souths
\
\
Cameron McInnes has reportedly sought a release from Souths - a move which would pave the way for Robbie Farah to move to the club.

The Dragons are favourites to snap up McInnes, who was linked to the club earlier in his career but used the former 'round 13 backflip' clause to stay at Souths.

Damien Cook and McInnes have jostled for the hooker position at the club this year, following the departure of fan favourite Issac Luke to the Warriors at the end of last season.

The Wests Tigers could foot up to $600, 000 of Farah's contract for his first year at a new club, and Cook has been tipped to be a support for Farah.

Farah is expected to sign a two-year deal.

One word to Farah…....."Go"

I don't consider it best for all parties if Farah moves on. WT played more stable footie with him at hooker. The halves are not consistent enough yet nor do we have another excellent hooker to take his place. His grubber is still 100% better than Mitch's and this is a very important aspect. His scoring those tries in last two FG games proves he is still up to it. As well we would helping another club get a first class hooker on the cheap.

No wonder there's been a delay in announcing if we've been seeking $600k. Great news. Would be even better if this was announced today & the faithful could give Robbie an ovation on Sunday.

So i guess not as simple as he will get what he is owed.

It's better for us because it appears obvious that JT and Robbie hate each other and aren't prepared to work together.

Personally I'm sick of all the drama and the sooner he is gone the better. It might not be best for the team but it's the best thing at this point for the club.

Great. Sell him to the highest bidder.

They are both professional people so are expected to work together. JT stating about lack of team cohesion in attack in public and Robbie adequately answering in public appears to demonstrate who
has the stronger/correct position. The coach appears to be letting the team and Club down by not selecting the strongest team. Robbie struck to his part of the contract by playing excellently in FG. If the coach cannot handle RF playing excellently that is his problem. He seems to accept the opposite of other players.

You need to let it go Byron. The coach has won.

I don't believe it is a simple as that because Farah has already alluded to the payout figure and in the article from the DT about the RLPA went further.

Regardless of those who hate Farah there is still a large proportion of the fan base that would like the opportunity to farewell him.
I would hate to think the club is stalling in agreeing to terms to prevent this from happening.
At a time when other clubs are acknowledging players who have contributed less than Farah to their clubs ,- it is really a bad look from the club especially when they are responsible for the deal that they now so desperately want to be free of.

The coach appears to have outed RF for non valid reasons, that is the lack of cohesion claim. I think we would have had a terrific chance of winning against the Titans with RF in the team - only had to kick a field goal. If we fail against Raiders this weekend as I expect then that loss against Titans cost us a final 8 berth. Was a final berth part of JT's contract? Has he cut his own nose to spite his own and team's face?
I thought these issues are more important than who has won or lost.

I think you're half right in this scenario as both should move on.

I don't think that is happening at all.
You have to take into consideration the position of the other club and where they are situated at the moment.
Any premature anouncements could derail their season.
As someone mentioned in an article.
The Tigers are in a bit of a rock and a hard place.
Preparing a farewell game is extremely unprofessional of them when Farah is still at this moment contracted till the end of next year.
I read the same thing about Manly, Stewart, and his impending departure.

The shoe is not on the other foot. Robbie and his manager have made direct quotes to the press in the past. WT management has not. It seems unlikely they would considering we are still in semis contention.

There is only one person who directly benefits from putting this mess in the paper, and it's Robbie. It's not as though he is even denying anything. The initial report said he was considering legal action. Allegedly this came from "sources close to Farah". Channel Nine then contact Farah directly, and he says he WAS considering the action, but has decided against it.

I guess there's chance both sources are just outright lying, but it seems unlikely. More likely, it was his manager or someone who is known as close mate. Or Robbie.

I disagree with you. I don't think Robbie has said much wrong at all especially when you put it into the proper context.

I also think that this is a classic example of when there is a chance that this all came from the club in an effort to put Robbie down the usual suspects that hammer Robbie don't say a thing at all. It's the same as reports that Moses and Brooks want Robbie out or that Tedesco told Robbie it's time for him to move on. If the roles were reversed there would be outrage.

If the link that you posted I can't find anything where he says he was/is going to sue anybody .
There isn't a single quote from Farah in it at all . .
