@Telltails said:Glad for Robbie. Didn't take long for clubs to show interest once Farah was proactive about moving on.
According to Paul Kent four clubs have expressed interest and it looks like very soon we will be paying most of his salary to play for one of them.

Four clubs? That's good, that means there will be a bit of competition to drive down what we will need to pay.

WT have lost leverage Farah gets to choose where he plays and the NRL will dictate the minimum he is under the salary cap I would suspect $300k. He is payed $950k wherever, he plays next year and no one will pay top dollar in 2018 - 2019.
Either way we should have $300k to spend on ET and a backup hooker.

We still have to release him. The terms need to satisfy the club. It depends what they want.
@ricksen said:The talk of a two year deal is good for us - I'm guessing we can then spread our obligation to him over both those two years?

Haha that would be hilarious and would help a lot of his supporters overcome his departure lol

@supercoach said:We can play hard ball to and let him play reserve grade for 12 months and pay him his contract money. The media attention Farah is getting now would disappear after a few weeks in reserve grade next season and he would become just another reserve grader. I am not having a shot at Farah, but who ever picks him up should be paying around 400g at least, lets face it he is the current NSW no9.
I suppose Pascoe is at the point he will do what ever is necessary to restore some harmony in the club and put Farahgate to bed once and for all

You are correct however, if Farah says he won't play for a certain team we would cave in.
Either way its good news for the team and Farah its been a messy divorce.
