Food thread

Bought a box of green olives and soaked them in water for 2 weeks. They are bitter when light green but when they go a dark green they are ready.
i just do shop bought ,preferre black,but have 4 different jars,.salinity value,more olives more salt into mother jar,have a 12 year brine,but it takes 2 years for good flavour
 
We've just had a new butchery open in town. Meat from their own farm. So far, the lamb loin chops were amazing, and I had a go slow cooking osso bucco. It was delicious!!

I'm not much of a cook, even though l raised 3 children to adulthood. A toasted cheese sandwich, or savoury mince with mashed potatoes, is pretty much my go-to. Slow cooking seems to be the way to go. The meat was so tender!
