I don't think Morgan should be our utility for the 4 nations.

I think the best utility player in the NRL is Tyrone Peachey and that he should be given a chance as Kangaroos utility. He has pretty much played every position for Penrith this year. He also played very well in each of those positions.

If not Peachey I think it is either Milford or Moylan

Milford started his career as a fullback then moved to the halves so he can play anywhere.
Moylan has also popped up in many positions as well.
And for players of their class they should be able to adapt pretty quickly to an unfamiliar position if necessary.

I don't know, take you pick out of those 3

boyd was always going to make it as he has been playing decent and is the incumbent…

I understand your point but I don't get why Teddy isn't playing if the squad is 'looking to the future'
I thought Teddy was the future for the Roos.

I'll have to put my hand up there stryker. I thought the Kangaroo pack was underpowered, but I was obviously wrong (don't feel like a nuffie however). I thought the Kangaroos would struggle to contain the NZ go forward, but it was the other way around. I have a new found respect for the selectors.

That said, I think Dugan and to a lesser extent Ferguson vindicated my judgement that they should not be in the squad (although Dugan didn't do Ferguson any favours the way he crowded him out of space so frequently).

Rubbish, he'd have done just fine. That said I didn't have a problem with them leaving Boyd there, he's had a good season at fullback and has the advantage of the Queensland combinations. What's not ready about Teddy?

He's a fine player, but he played like a lock yesterday and wasn't very good at it. You can see why Sheens was happy to leave DCE on the bench those times..

I expected a lot more from the Kiwi pack. Marty, who I've bagged all year, was far and away their best. Some big names were underwhelming.

He is not ready to shove the incumbents aside as they are playing well. He needs a strong SOO series next year to prove he's worthy.

However if you think the Australian team demolished NZ you are living in another world. It was a fairly ordinary win in my opinion. Meninga and Smith were happy with the win also, I think they should stop patting themselves on the back and put in some decent work to counteract the games ahead. Poms won't be easy either.

It is a given fact that the Kiwi's are not half the team in these one off contests as they are in a series situation as the World Cup. They have a few good players to come in before the next games as well. We have made this mistake several times before of taking them lightly, to our own detriment.

If you were Mal Meninga would you select Tedesco?

Well I'd say anyone with half a brain would put 2 and 2 together and assume that the selectors probably thought Tedesco not having played in close to 3 months isn't the greatest preparation for a Test match.
To suggest that he "isn't ready" as in implying he wouldn't have handled a Test match scenario is laughable to say the least. Jordan Kahu doesn't have a tenth of the ability Tedesco has and he got through the game without being found wanting.

Strange reasoning right there. I cannot recall Moylan playing a full SOO series at fullback either.
In fact he was ousted from the fullback position to make way for Tedesco wasn't he not?

Tedesco has played one game since he broke his jaw which was an exhibition game against a weak opposition. Give me a guy with some football under his belt over him. With Inglis, Moylan, Boyd & even Holmes in the squad there's plenty of fullback options there.

It's just common sense. The no.1 possie in the Kangaroos is very hotly contested. You have to earn it.
