["]I've heard many say worse, wishing injury and/or death on players.

Calling a player or official a germ is tame compared to some of the crap that has been said on here.

I'm not aware of any moderator wishing injury / death to any of our players in the 15 years I've been on the forum. The point I'm trying to make is moderators should be above all that rubbish.

And the post you are referring to has since been deleted Knuckles. Carry on.

Cmon Knuckles leave it alone mate

Ok Ok !
But only because it's you asking Happy !

Thanks Knuckles , your a good man Charlie Brown

I wish we got the mail beforehand when Heighno got MOTM that day….a few did, massive odds and a big plunge,

How no one at 9 got fired over that is beyond me…..

I think about everyone knows exactly who was involved, and how they benefited yet nothing was done.

sorry i don't exactly remember what happened in this incident but I am very curious. Can someone please give a quick run down ?

My memory is sketchy.
Forget who we were playing…maybe Sharks or Knights I think ...was a 9 sunday arvo game...2006 or 07 thereabouts ....Im guessing we won, Heighno got channel 9 motm when someone else was a clear standout....looked like a bit of a fix from memory which is very hazy about it all
Apparently a lot of ''in the know'' people were ''in the know''...not sure if you still can now I think maybe not....but the odds for him getting motm were pretty big, many got on.

v Knights in 2007\. Heighno was backed off the map Fine Cotton style - $33 into single figures. funnil enough he got the award even though every man and his dog thought Farah was the best player. As I remember one of the judges had to leave early and the decision was made by the producer and an ex-player/commentator

Spot on Yoss.
Blight on the game, betting on MOM was stopped for a while.
It is reasonably general knowledge who was involved in the sting, and they all still work at 9.
The other dodgy moment was the Roosters v cowboys rnd 26 second half turn around and betting plunge.

Ink and Flip,so do you guys think must have been full of it and just big noting himself….

I thought Irvine had some good points, more fool me for taking people on trust...... 😕

Im assuming you mean irvine?
He seemed to be on the money most times….but that doesnt give anyone a right to be a tosser too

One of my mates alerted me to a thread Irvine started in LU, trying to make me look like a tool.
He thought I said that a West Junior was a Balmain junior, I was in fact quoting Balmain Boy, he also accused me to be the West tigers self appointed recruitment guru, I do talk about juniors alot, mainly because they interest me, and I watch alot of junior footy.

Takes alot of anger to start a thread in another forum trying to make someone look bad.

It is like he blames me for getting banned.

Hope you are reading Irvine…..

What about the Round 26 games in 2005 between us and Penrith ??

I've always had my suspicions

Yeah it was pretty weird how that game changed so quickly. We could've put 50 on them but ended up losing after half-time completely changed the game. Was there live betting back then ?

The game changed the minute the result of the Newcastle game ended

We were hoping to finish 2nd based on Newcastle winning and wanted to avoid facing Melbourne ,Saints etc until as late as possible

Got to give it to Sheens , he was on the mark in 2005

Never really noticed that to be honest just remember losing a game we should've won comfortably. I guess i was too young to know any better back then haha

We led 18-0 from memory…lost 38-22

We were carving them up. Remember thinking we would rack up a massive score heading into the finals. I was pretty angry when we lost.

Exactly the same. Spent the whole car ride home convincing dad we could still win the premiership. Sometimes kids know best  lol

I didn't think about betting here but I had my thoughts that the game may have been thrown to get the team into a more favourable position in the playoffs.
Two straight losses before the semi's and then putting 50 points on the Cowboys, what would the odds have been for that game?.
