nothing i posted in that thread is false, you are just a hater and have been from the get go.
so ill put it out here so everyone can stop arguing THIS IS ONLY A RUMOUR
moltzen in 08 signed a contract mainly incentive based on the number of FG games he plays each season
he gets injured v cowboys
WT are declared to be 100k over the salary cap because the muppets in admin screwed up gibbs and farahs juniors clause in the salary cap
WT activate the clause in moltzen contract about amount of FG games he plays in a season and decide to cut his deal back to the minimum FG match payments which i think is $1200 so add that up over 18 games and thats all moltz is gonna get paid for the rest of 2010.
The only reason WT admin activate this claus is to keep them under the salary cap because of their initial stuff up
benji asks the 2 players involved to sacrafice their money for this season to be back paid in the next season or 2 so tim can get his full salary for 2010
both players refuse to do so and the rest is history

this is only a rumour and dont take it as fact
what was the actual rumor before the secret society met.
what you have said there seems like a bunch of opinions added in.
so help me figure this out and let me know if my understanding of the salary cap is wrong.
match payments are backloaded when figuring out a players contract value for each year.
they are also capped at a maximum of 13 games.
if you play 6 games then it is only the bonus x 6 and if you play 20 it is bonus x 13.
the value of moltzen is his 2010 base plus his appearance fees for last year which were capped at only 13.
(people should also take note of this number when players are still being selected after half a season of mediocrity)
every team pays for players no longer on their roster because we backload calculations.
this means any salary dispute is not because of gibbs and farah deals.
even if it was calculated this year moltzen would have been getting around $8800 a game.
i find it hard to believe a manager agrees to that type of difference.
edit:i think the 13 cap is for wins not matches, which means that because the tigers never win 13 games we get no advantage. :brick:
that would in fact lower the moltzen bonus of $8800 a game.
but doesn't change the fact calculations are from the previous year.
now it is possible that moltzen has a problem with the club and his salary.
he signed the deal and the tigers executed it.
if benji has a problem with it he should pay back money the club paid him while sitting out week after week on the sidelines.
if moltzen wanted security he should have taken the bigger base salary.
there may be some truth to the rumor, but the details seem a little blurry to me.
i hope you can see why.
and if anyone else can see what i am missing, feel free to clear things up for me.
