People are responding emotionally to every ‘next bit’ of information. Me too. That’s to be expected.

Initially I think everyone was shocked that someone we respected could act totally against what he seemed to value. This turned to anger when it seemed to be true. Now it’s just pure confusion because of all the lies and spin. We don’t know what to believe.

And I think that’s fair enough at the moment

This crap needs to end ASAP !

We have a roster to fill and players to re-sign .

I think that unless Cleary signs an extension, this will not settle down until both WT and the Panthers are done for this year.
Kills our recruitment but that’s life.

I have know doubt that Ivan has friends at many clubs and considering he coached and his son plays for the Panthers I'm sure Penrith is one of those. I'm not at all confident that Ivan and Gus get on terribly well. If you listen to the Six Tackles Podcast Gus makes it apparent that he and Ivan don't talk together much at all when they run into each other out at the games. That's not to say the don't communicate just that they aren't close.

Ivan has made it clear through the coaching insider interviews that some topics are not for conversation. Typically recruitment and player movements and speculation. He has gone on about it a fair bit.

I also have no problem with Ivan trying to negotiate a good deal with his next contract. If the Panthers did approach him with an amazing offer I don't think it's unreasonable for Ivan to discuss that with his current employer. If I was Ivan's employer then I would like to be aware if he had a large offer on the table so I could take it into consideration with preparing a counter offer or understand that during the next contract I might be out of the running and might need to look elsewhere for a coach.

Steve you keep posting how you feel as events unfold as that's what the Forum is for , i'll continue to make my opinions on how i think things are unfolding not necessarily correct, but like you said making my mind of how things are panning out.

This Forum has always been a Power thing by the usual .
Some think they know more than other Member's but in reality there only supporters like you and i , They make it out they know more but really deedly squat….The Forum is all they know .

i noticed that aswell from Go , she's good i must say " i can't comment on speculation " and she kept protecting Ivan which was Professional to do but think about it ? Why did Ivan inform the Club on Monday afternoon a couple of hours before Griffin was sacked ?

As you said hobbo he would of come out with it next morning of the Griffin sacking and said " i have a contract at the Tigers and as i believe in honouring Contracts i will be doing just that " but hey some will believe anything has done nothing wrong :laughing:

You're right Penrith do have peter facilities. But as i have said before a 5 year old 10kg ball weight stills weighs the same as a brand new 10kg ball weight.
