JAC

Everyone needs to stop stressing. If JAC doesn't come it's because he doesn't want to be here and if that is the case we are better off without him as it saves a lot of tears later when he wants to walk away from his contract to go where he really wants to be.
What all this does do is bring into question his honesty and integrity as far as:

1. His desperation to be in Sydney to be with family
2. His actual desire to play fullback
3. How much he supposedly loves the Tigers

Although he is a very good player, he is nothing but a laughing jackass and can't be taken seriously a lot of the time.
Come the end of the day we may get the last laugh when he goes to court in March and gets a couple of years of weekend detention for fire arms offences.

Hey you caught up.

I wonder what they're going to do now. There's not a heap of available talent out there at the moment but geez I don't want us to be spoon contenders.

We won’t get the spoon. The same Rugby League Gods that keep us coming 9th year after year also ensure we never get the spoon.

It’s a strange dichotomy, but that seems to be the rules.

Who knows, we might. Who are we finishing above? (assuming no more signings for us).

Yea ..... time to close down this thread.
Let’s look at some realistic long term signing options ...l and JAC is just not one of them.

As I said previously you can always set the thread to ignore, then you’ll never see it.

How do you do that Mike

Would love to do it to certain threads

Simply go to the top of the thread under the OP you will see watching..click on that you have the option of not watching which means you will still get notifications if you have posted in the thread but it won't appear in recent topics or ignore..and you will reveive nothing or see it..

And how do you find that thread if you want to re-install it ?

Manly

JAC has earned the right to be chased by more than one club. Just hope if he is def not coming he has had the decency to let the club know so they can get on with recruitment. Not buying for a minute that he is not fully informed on what is happening.

Who knows, there always seems to be someone. This has been happening for 20 years. We had the Knights getting 3 spoons in a row to shield us during a particularly dark time for us.

I don’t make the rules mate. That’s just how it is.

Can’t understand not wanting to give them Talau especially now Josh is willing to stay at Melbourne for another season

Unless Talau becomes an Australian level player it will not be worth it. Maybe they think that highly of him at the club

1 They probably do think that much of him.

2 Maybe (you and a lot of others don't just Get it) just maybe he doesn't want to go to Melbourne. Personally they would have to offer me three times as much to live in that stinking place.

Same scenario again for Nofo.

People just think you only have to say "we are going to swap you for JAC" and the player in question says "Oh! good, I'll go and pack my bags." No one has said it is only for a year either, I think they are looking on a permanent basis.

I think Covid has made Melbourne a more undesirable place also now. The Storm are finding it more difficult than they ever would’ve before to get players to fill those wing spots. Alex Johnston didn’t want bar of it, they had to settle for Jennings! ?

I’ve been told the deal is dead in the water. He will go back to the Storm and sign with the Rabbits in 2021.

No one to blame but management for that one. If we can’t land a big signing in 2022 we are screwed

Please explain how you come to that conclusion, with actual verifiable information.

He gave us a heads of agreement apparently, ready to come here all we needed to do was make a deal with Melbourne. We refuse, he stays at Melbourne or goes somewhere else and he never plays for us. It’s us that refused to play ball

We just did what the Storm and Roosters have been doing for years. Held our ground.

We offerer him the fullback spot. If hes not interested than so be it.

He was interested?!!!!! We couldn’t get the deal done? Roosters are ruthless they would’ve given Melbourne a rookie if they wanted JAC. Look what they did to Pearce and Flanagan

If he was interested he would have signed mate, simple.

Erm he needs a release champ. Pretty simple buddy. He can’t sign when he’s contracted ?

Mate, he could have signed with us yesterday for 2022, if he wanted.

It seems that he did not, because he doesn't want to.

2022 is a long way away. He would be stupid to sign for any club for 2022 right now. That doesn’t mean he didn’t want to sign for 2021

He didn't

You’ve had this opinion and never had any proof as to why you think this. It seems to me you are just assuming. Plenty of good sources have said the opposite

I won't give up cochise's source on this as I know who it is, but he's not spinning rubbish.

Reading the latest herald article.

Storm still want Talau or Nofo. Tigers won’t budge, unlikely to get JAC as he wants the storm to part on good terms so no swap no deal

The facts are that established stars with options to sign with a number of clubs won't end up at the tigers.

We haven't had success for a long time, big name players want to play in the big games.

If JAC can make his way to South's, I am sure that will be his preference.

The club can not force a player to sign here.So short of ridiculously over paying (which we can all agree is not a solution) we need to find a way to get back to playing finals footy.

We are in a similar situation to Canberra 5-6 years ago. We are not a destination club.

We need to build like they did. Invest in juniors (cotric, Hudson Young, horsborough etc), look for talent not getting a shot (tapine, nicholl clokstad, havilli). Canberra even had to go to England.

These is talent out there to build, we just need to identify it.

I think we are headed in the right direction with our recent signings.

A few years of finals footy and players will want to come here. We just need to get over the hump.

If the stupid big name players would actually take the chance and come here then we might actually have some success!

I have to say that I deadset love my forum brothers and sisters,BUT some just get so wrapped up in a rumour or speculative suggestion that they almost hate anything negative said about said rumour or almost lose sleep over it....
Now let TT tell you how this works...JAC is part of the indigenous brotherhood who happen to be part of Bennetts little kingdom,LM,Walker etc, they dont sing the anthem, they are a part of the resurgence of the hard done by ancestors that we have said sorry to..Ever since the shooting incidence at the farm in the North of NSW which JAC was apart of,their little family has got stronger and JAC misses being with them...Now this is where the manager comes in and says, dont worry Josh I will get you to Souths with your buddies,we just have to get around your contract with the Storm...
Compassionate grounds for family, which family doesnt get a mention because its Bennetts family he wants to join...
Bennett starts shopping around Roberts,Allen, Knight and whoever so we can have Joshy with his brothers...the manager suckers the WTs because he is good at that and gets a HOA going just to excite everyone that doesnt know better...therein is where TT could smell the dirty rat, same as LM..WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN LM HE WONT BE COMING HERE says the old coot known as Bennett....didnt surprise me one bit and I said a long time ago in this thread dont get your hopes up for JAC he left here on not so good terms contary to peoples thoughts...the I love the Tigers foray is a myth, now Im proven right....

Most of you should have woken up when he said after the grand final.."I could stay with Melb for ONE more year."..the family all of a sudden didnt need him as quickly as expected...he realised Bennett needed to shift the deck chairs and needed more time...houdini had nothing on Bennett the greatest magician of all time and the NRL hasnt woke up to him or Rusty yet...and never will apparently...

Starting to warm in Corey Allan.

I don’t what storm problem is replacing JAC unless no one wants to go there.

Corey Allan
Mansour

Starting to think upside to Allan he is a genuine game breaker sure he will have plenty of options.

I like the Canberra comparison, I remember Ricky was having trouble getting big name signatures. Three years later he’s in a GF then a prelim so it can be done. Maybe Madge needs to go super league shopping??
