1. You can't legally sign a contract before Nov 1
2. He's staying in Melbourne for 12 months
So the HOA is null and void
But, he said WT have signed Daine Laurie for 2022. Hopefully panthers will release him for 2021. He said he us a 'tier 1 sprinter'.
Also said likely to know what Mansour goes today. Which is likely WT.
Hope I've relayed what he said properly.
That’s what’s confused me about this HOA. How could the NRL allow JAC to sign a binding document with us if he hasn’t even been released from Melbourne or it’s not November 1st. I don’t see how it has any power to stop him from doing whatever he wants.
It’s not binding..... doesn’t come into play unless he’s released, and even then it’s probably not binding.
Then what’s the big drama about it? Sounds like he could just decide not to join even if he’s released and nothing could stop that. I don’t see how it would hold any bearing as to what club he decides to join.
That right. At best it sets us up to look like we are a shambles again.

Would the nrl really allow a contracted player to sign something enforceable before November 1? That’s not allowed

Agree but I highly doubt we would agree to set this up and sign if not allow to. He is a smart operator our Chair

He was happy to sign the deal in advance probably with storms permission and based on a release
What happens now as well If he gets out of it?
He goes back to Melb and stuff his family which this has been all about or he craps on us and signs with rabbits for 2021?
