I’m surprised to be honest, considering Liddle was dropped earlier in the year, they re-signed Simpkins, and with the injuries he’s suffered he’s never quite reached his potential. Seemed to me a fresh start could’ve been good for both parties. So I hate to be a negative Nancy, but it’s a bit “meh” for me.

I wouldnt put a number on him but certainly above 13th if i did

Titans and Broncos come to mind apart from that ....no one comes to mind

See above Jadtiger. I’m tired of being an also-ran squad, filled with low-to-mid tier players. We need to find our Ponga (and it doesn’t necessarily need to be at fullback). Liddle’s ceiling isn’t high enough to get me excited about this re-signing. He goes alright, but as yet he hasn’t played a role in getting us to the finals so I don’t quite understand the gushing over him.

He is in good company.

I thinks we would of got him for a good price also compared to if he waited for another club.. he is a 1st grade player at most clubs so to have him and Simpkin in the 17 down the track will be an good for the team.

Liddle is leagues above reed...reed is very overated...he is over players like egan but under the likes of grant etc

The problem with rating players is that you need to see them play for a certain period of time. Grant is top quality but how good was Liddle last week.

Well, I’m certainly not putting the blame all on one player.

And I'm not either ...but it's that accept OK as good mentality ...aim for the best possible result

Did we hire Liddle as an 80 minute hooker or a 55 minute bolter?

Because even when the game has 80 minute hookers Liddke was 50 minutes.

I see liddle as a part of 2 hookers, but he has weaknesses.
Where else can he play? He is no Lock/front rower, not a wing/fullback. That means if he takes a bench spot he could probably only cover the Centers.

Look Liddle has great potential. Liddle+Simpkin could be a way forward....yet I think were pairing inexperience with inexperience.

Unsure how this ends.
