OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

[AmericanHistoryX]

Player retention is not a hypothetical. All clubs do it and WTs need to be better at it. It's not about creating more problems at once or stiring up a hypothetical problem, it's about determining our future direction regarding players and filling key positions. Maintaining dialogue with our players over the course of their contract should never be an underestimated part of the process and I'd hope Richo and Benji are doing/improving in this area.

Then no more Moses players. That's the first incision. After Bula.

Don’t need to worry about Bula until this time next year. Let him play good footy and we should focus on building a good roster so we can actually make finals. Done well the most recent off season - need to do the same again to give us a decent chance.

I take real issue to Bula’s urgency in defence and coupled with incorrect positioning.
He is quick so this shouldn’t be an issue, but he seems to jog into a position and doesn’t get into a canter until things get desperate. I don’t blame the player because he grew up as a centre, I just really want our coaching staff, especially Hodgo to notice this in game and start to work towards correcting this.

Unless it's playing on his mind.

Possibly a threat to push the release along.

It had me thinking also why Moses has such a rod up his back about our club. In a way, he did the club a favour finding new deals for his clients Bateman and Klemmer. I guess he would be expecting the club returns the favour.

If Bula doesn’t start to show some effort defensively then he can piss off to the Eels in 2027 as well. Great in attack but his piss poor positioning and lack of urgency has hurt us on multiple occasions this season, including on the weekend.

If he doesn’t want to extend or start causing issues, I’m throwing his money at Sualauvi Faalogo from the Storm.

If our players show as much passion as you, we will be winning on Sunday 👍

Good to see Bula has no free will.

Bula is very different to Galvin.

He is far more honourable.

Maybe....he also seems shy quiet and possibly easily led/ swayed
I dont get a sense of confidence about him - but hes showed he has ticker
and a sense of camaraderie and loyalty too.
Sometimes looks like a deer in headlights but plays like a cheetah
Hard to gauge

Finally, someone with some sense on this forum.

Just like the Tumeth and Matamua crap that he leaked now Bula it's simply just spin to cause trouble, if he keeps using this strategy to get what he wants it will dig a deeper hole for himself that eventually he won't be able to climb out of, he will be on the nose of everyone in the NRL universe.

It's a good thing he will lose clients and when the NRL finally get off their arses and do something he might get rubbed out.

[Jedi_Tiger]

perhaps we go after Faalogo from storm with Papenhuyzen still at the club

Never assume. We all thought Ivan was a wonderful dude when he was giving a kidney to his brother.

and then he gutted us.

What Bula really needs to do is to get his Father in law to bash Isaac Moses.

Bula was so poor today one of his usual performances. I'd love to see a young talent like Heath Mason get the call up and replace Bula. Tonight, he let in 2 tries its absurd.

One or the most ridiculous takes I've ever heard on here

[Demps]

He, much like our team as a whole... is/aren't overly polished.

Work in progress.
Few more peices fall into place & we work out the combinations, I can see us being a better team next year & years to come.

I rate Bula.

He was poor today but I wouldn't go that far. Mason drops at least two bombs a game.

What makes Bula infuriating is that he can actually defend. He just chooses not to or gives minimal effort.

If he defended like he did in his first season combined with his attack this year, he'd be a top 5 FB in the comp.
