Nothing was better than his snap pass for Marshall to score.

Once again 18 pts is too many..12 ppg is the benchmark ..you achieve that Goal ythe team will be at the pointy end off the season..
18 will be a massive effort for us and would be sufficient.

If we are extremely lucky it would be 330k to 340k an extra 10k - 20k for the finals matches. Not exactly a bargain buy but if it works that is fine,if it dosent its a pricey dud.
Lets hope for all our sakes that he makes it a winner for the club
@Glennb said:Im really glad to have Jamal with us, plenty of upside and I think he is definitely a centre, not the workrate for back rower.
BUT….......I have some concern that the small amount of success taht we have had this year has been based on speed. Jamal is going to slow our backline down a fair bit. For this reason I would really like to see Simona stay at left centre and someone else fill in the left wing position.

Last 12 years the average points conceded per game for the Top 8:

In the same period, the points conceded per game of the 8th placed side: 26.33 (Manly 2005), 22.88, 21.13, 20.04, 19.92, 22.71, 19.83, 20.92, 21.29, 21.08, 23.08, 20.70 (Titans 2016).
@supercoach said:Although he has had a year or so out of the game, he did play SOO and he played for Australia so a price tag of 350g a year is probably a fair. When you think we have players earning a lot more who are still on P plates I do not see it as excessive and just a case of the tele crap trying to drum up a headline

I kinda think the opposite. We have plenty of speed and it's nice to have muscle out wide, especially as our back rowers are not exactly explosive. And, I think he has more toe than you realise.
Totally agree about Simona.
@Telltails said:I'm neither here nor there about Jamal at the moment - so was pleased to see the incentives in his contract.
Major risk - but could be the buy of the season. Just not sure we are the club that should be taking that risk. If we were in a stronger position with some other good signings - fine.
Can understand why Cronulla and Canberra have taken risks with Taylor and Williams - both have strong rosters and good depth where those players will have to work hard to get a spot.
Don't see that for Jamal pretty much offloading players to make way for him. As a player who has previously showed a lack of committment to the game and his club - I hope for our sake we have new and improved Jamal.
@Tiger Come Lately said:Teddy had to create his own gaps with line and tackle breaks. That's one of the reasons he has such a high tackle break average. IMO
@Balmain Boy said:$200k base is still too high really imo. For a guy who's been out of the game for a fair while with attitude problems and a major injury it's still a fair risk.
Would have thought a lower base and a higher match bonus would have been more in line with our cap situation.

Can you do Minor Premiers…?
