Farah treatment did not help in all this.

That is for certain.

People that tore threads off Farah won't admit it.

However the proof is in the pudding.

Everything was mean tot be hunky dory without him this year? Give the control to the kids? No distractions right?

Yeah.

Agreed Eddie i have no idea how much it has effected their decisions but the way Robbie was treated by JT would have played part in their decisions to leave

But JT is not here any more….yet it still affects them? :unamused:
Stretching.
I seem to recall some pretty good wins last year after he was dumped - along with the floggings- whats new with us?

Anyway, I'll believe it when I see it...been saying this for near on six years now....havent seen much to believe in

We have money and good players will come to the club. Cleary we know has a history of rebuilding clubs and we are in good hands. Management have done everything possible to retain our big name players.

Yeah they are tearing hinges off the doors down trying to get a work out at the gym at Concord aren't they Paws …

Lined up all the way to the Qld and Melbourne borders

Thats the spirit.

Mate I don't care the players are leaving , I care why it is happening

Stick your head in the sand all you like , happy footballers don't leave happy clubs especially when they get offers that are above market value

They know that this club will never get it , no matter what changes it still stays the same

Do people realize when you take out the Sheens years our winning percentage is at 30.4% around 9% lower than the next club's lowest winning percentage since 2000

That's scary bad , real scary bad

I simply don't agree with this. Happy footballers don't leave clubs. I'm sorry mate but they leave all the time. Why aren't they happy as well. I mean being paid a tonne of money to play for the club you support can't be that bad. This is what I mean by you exaggerate things to crazy levels. These guys aren't getting abused or shafted or anything like that. They are just making decisions to earn more money.

This is basically a money grab. They've waited for the salary cap to be raised to cash in and it hasn't worked out.

I also want a better winning percentage but that is predominantly to do with the squad and coaching staff we've had. We can fix that if we don't pay overs for players that aren't worth the money and we get a decent coach. I think Clearly seems great. I think Woods going is great for the club. Losing Tedesco would be really bad but for the amount of money we are paying him it may work out as well. He isn't winning games by himself. Phil Gould wrote an article stating no player was worth a million dollars. I tend to agree with him.

Jebus there are some a grade sooks on here.

So negative….must love the attention.

i can see some positive.....Moses and Woods are bog ordinary and we have dodged a bullet and saved a couple of mill....if we sign Widdop,Vete and Matulino we are better off and have change for more. Not forgetting we have the Farah loot to spend.

We have just signed a top notch coach who is known for rebuilding clubs and players love playing for ......i have no doubt Cleary will be poaching some old mates.

We have signed Brooksie, and if we can snare Teddy we are in better shape and have our two hookers coming on nicely as well as Suli and Ava etc who are all improving.

Sky not falling in yet.

Of course it did. It set a precedent for what is happening now. It certainly alleviates any level of loyalty that they may have held toward the club, in making their decision whether they personally supported Farah or not - and I am pretty certain Woods was never comfortable with what went on.
The crap that went on last year at our club would have taken its toll on anyone and when an opportunity presents itself to leave all that behind it really is not that surprising that Woods and Teddy may have had enough. And lets be honest you cant discount how tempting it must be when you look at what those two clubs offer compared to where we are at. Cleary maybe just a bit too late and Pascoe probably saw that coming when they sacked JT.

Good bait and nice cast Simon, should hook a few here

For those using the raiders analogy only need to look at this

2014 their halves combo was campese and wighton. With butriss at hooker

2015 their halves combo was Austin/Williams/Cornish/mcrone and Hodgson at hooker

2016 it's Austin/Sezer In the halves with Hodgson at hooker.

Around that they added players like rapana BJ soliola Paulo tapine developed wighton Croker Boyd etc and now they are flying. Those signings were fringe FG players looking for a chance. Smart signings. And they continue to make good signings. Do they have one superstar in that team? Nope. But they have let plenty go over the last 5 years or so and are in a much better place for it now.

This is exactly how we need to think about developing a club. I think all you need is a solid bunch of players. A superstar like Tedesco would be great but not with inconsistent overpaid players around him.

Sleep it off happy, you're letting yourself down mate.

Just completely over the top. I've been down about the Tigers but all of this drama coming to an end to me is great. I'm stoked so far with the players we've released. I'll even be okay if Tedesco goes.

I think we are now in a good position.

You like i will be here in another 6 years time and we will see more highs and lows my hope is always there even if at times i feel like an idiot for it.Supporters of clubs like ours always do it tough but it is character building lol.

Drug taking at an end of season party

Where did Cronulla come again last year and how are they currently travelling. I think they lost one of their star players because of this issue.

Maybe I don't remember things correctly but isn't this what happened.

Of course it did. These are young kids earning a tonne of money. Talk about making issues out of nothing.

it's a well known fact the Roosters know how to attract star players, Brad Fittler $BW Craig Wing Anasta (at the time he was a star) should I list more?? They just know how to make the moves.

from reading that Teddy signed with them April 12 that should be announced Friday ? great just before the dogs game

You can't win the comp without star players, that is why the storm are up their every year along with Broncos and roosters and Manly.

all those taling about raiders and panthers// well sorry the panthers 5 year plan is in year 7 aint working.. and the faiders will never get to a grand final because they simply don't have star players. and their defense is crap they have to score 30 points to win a game. they will be found out by teams like the roosters and storm

If we can obtain Connor Watson (with Keary playing well Uncle Nick may be agreeable to him leaving) with could potentially have one of the most lethal halves combos in the game. Both Brooks and Watson have excellent pace and more than enough talent to build a team around. If Tedesco stays, we will have a fine team.

Meltdown galore   Nothing good ever happens at Midnight.

This is what happens when the Club doesn't put a deadline on there Contracts and allows these players to control the situation, they should put a 48 hour deadline and move on.
It is worrying that they are seeking elsewhere when we have great offers, indicates what they really think of our Club…..especially our Club Captain who is supposed to lead by example :unamused:

I think the cooling off period is 10 business days - with Easter and Anzac Day in there if he signed on 12th april - cooling off wouldn't be until 2nd may.

You can't be serious? the NRL is calling itself a business?

Farah's dumping showed the stars that loyalty to the club is not necessarily repaid, so they can make it just luxury that can be ditched when expedient.

The fans should make sure they are heard on this issue - how about a pro-Tedesco demo outside of somewhere, maybe outside the game this weekend before kick off? Or NRL headquarters if such a place exists.

Christ, most of you blokes were once Balmain or Magpies fans. After decades of dross routinely served up by them with the odd smattering of success here (the odd finals series,) and there you've decided only now that you're over it?

Hang in there, things will get better with Ivan. Warriors have always been a basket case and Penrith was run by the players when he showed up there. He turned both sides around after his appointment. Losing players of the calibre of Teddy and Woods hurts, but if the only thing that was going to keep them here is the money I don't want them there. I want competitors. I don't care if they are born and bred Campbelltown or come from Huddersfield. As far as I am concerned, they belong here only when they put in 100% every game and leave everything on the field. If they are going to cut and run they don't fit in with that philosophy.

I've heard from a reliable source that he won't announce where he's going till this thread reaches 100 pages.

I'm backing up this rumor as I have heard the same thing from another source.

We have a stack load of cash left over from Robbie, Teddy, Woods & Moses.

I am dissapointed with the players we have lost but we have to move forward.

Look at the quality players available on the market.

Foran, Widdop, Shaun Johnson, Dugan, Matulino, Paasi, Tetevano, Alex Johnston, Guerra

Surely we can nab 1 FB and 1 half out of Dugan,A.Johnston, Foran, Widdop & S.Johnson

There is quality out there and hopefully we are headed in the right direction.

Cant believe we are after Hopoate and Liccha

Foran? How could you trust him mentally as a player
Johnson is Benji Marshall 2.0
Dugan also off field dramas and always injured
Widdop, -where going off a good first 6 weeks here before that his team couldn't score trys

so yeah the free agents list isn't as good as people think
