I think Tedesco showed his true colours when he signed for the raiders and backflipped.Pure mercenary with zero loyalty.

@ said:That DT article is such crap. Bulldog Ritchie really does resort to posting nonsense these days, he used to be alright. He's been sidelined with the increase of social media, now he's reduced to quoting "friends of friends".
It would be like ringing up Mrs Gordon and running an article about how Tigers are a basketcase club because they didn't put Yileen in first grade. Not only are you not naming the source, friends say anything to spin a story.
Tedesco isn't going to enjoy football alongside Michael Gordon, he's going to push Gordon out. Blake Ferguson and Latrell Mitchell? Good odds of being forced out as well. How does he like playing with Tupou and SKD? When you cost a fortune you can't expect the rest of your backline to be full of superstars.
And then all this nonsense with Webhe. Firstly he wasn't on the books at the Tigers, he could not have been sacked.
Secondly the "friend" suggests all Tigers had to do was sign Webhe then sign Big 4, then sack Webhe. So sacking Webhe was apparently enough to upset these players to leave, but signing him then sacking him would have been cool? Rubbish.
Thirdly is Webhe on the books or a consultant at Roosters and Dogs? Is he part of the package? Hard to get upset if a bloke is not employed by Tigers but also not employed by your new club.
Fourthly, any player who wants to try and get their friend / head shrink / mentor onto the club books can go to hell; take what we have or sort it out on your own time. I mean Tedesco "is not about money, he doesn't live by each paycheck, his family are independently doing well" - so go see your brain coach on your own money and time you peanut.

It's interesting isn't it. I question the guys family and friends as well. He is the sort of person that you warn your kids from hanging around with because he is a bad person.
I'm glad he is gone now.
Cleary said the other day that he didn't want to question these guys morals because he didn't know them well. I think clearly that these guys are the dregs of society.

You all need to look at this for what it is. Tedesco on some level knows what he did was wrong, so he therefore feels the need to defend his actions. So he sends this mate to speak on his behalf so he can't be held accountable for the comments. He also does this in time for the Sunday paper (to engage the biggest audience possible).
"This is essentially saying, we we're going to stay but it's the clubs fault, don't blame us".
Very, very poor form from a club junior. If the reason he didn't re-sign is because of Joe, then why not sign elsewhere months ago when it happened? Why drag it out and mislead the club. I don't want to give away too much, for obvious reasons but they didn't leave the club because of Joe or because the Drama at the club etc. There were other reasons they left, which they need to put their hand up and own.

If you aren't going to state what those reasons are then don't say anything.

I don't really care about the reasons why they left the club. I know the stuff that they didn't care about at all though. They didn't show any loyalty or integrity or respect to the club for supporting them and bending over backwards for them.
They also won't earn less where they end up.
This was a massive money grab. They expected the salary cap to be increased and wanted the most amount of money that they could get. They also wanted to run the club.
To put it simply they are germs of human beings.

DEAN RITCHIE, The Sunday Telegraph
April 23, 2017 6:00am
WESTS Tigers star James Tedesco sacrificed up to $700,000 to join the Sydney Roosters — because he “wants to be the best.”
The Sunday Telegraph can reveal the Roosters’ offer to Tedesco was actually third-best behind Wests Tigers and Canterbury.
Yet Roosters supremo Nick Politis and coach Trent Robinson still got their man.
A desire to play at the powerful Roosters and to “better himself” drove Tedesco — the incumbent NSW fullback — to a new four-year deal at Bondi.

KENT: COFFEE DATE UNDERLINES TIGERS’ TROUBLES
Close friends to Tedesco claim the fullback has never been driven by money and his family are financially well-off through property development and investments in Sydney’s west.
“Wests Tigers could have offered him $2m a season and he wouldn’t have stayed,” said a close friend of Tedesco.
“James always wanted to go to the Roosters. The Roosters were the lowest offer. It had nothing to do with money — he wants to go there to better himself, to be a better footballer.
“He has this drive to be the best. He just wants to be the best.
“That’s why he is going there. It has nothing to do with money. People make it about money. James doesn’t live by pay cheques. It has to do with how the place is run and how he could better himself.
“When he reneged on Canberra (in 2014), he was told things would improve at Wests Tigers. He should have gone to Canberra.”
NRL TRIPLE SIGNING WINNERS AND LOSERS
The Sunday Telegraph can also reveal:
* Tedesco, Aaron Woods and Mitch Moses were almost certain to re-sign with Wests Tigers six weeks ago until the club sacked life coach Joe Wehbe, who has significant influence over a number of star players.
* Tedesco never signed with Canterbury.
“You have to ask why your captain and best player want to leave?” a friend close to the pair said.
“All of them were set to re-sign before the Wehbe drama blew-up. They were all set to sign. How could you stuff it up? All four would have stayed.
“All Wests Tigers had to do was keep Wehbe. They could have signed and gotten rid of him later. But once they got rid of him, that was it.
“That turned everything. ‘Woodsy’ is very tight with him.”
BLAME CLUB, NOT THE PLAYERS

Tedesco was most impressed with Bulldogs coach Des Hasler during negotiations but eventually shifted to the Roosters.
Another source said: “He never backflipped on Canterbury because he never signed there.”
Tedesco has agreed to terms with the Roosters.
There is no doubt Tedesco will flourish at Bondi playing alongside Mitch Pearce, Luke Keary, Michael Gordon, Latrell Mitchell and Blake Ferguson.
Roosters legend and club official Anthony Minichiello will also mentor Tedesco, the pair friends from playing with Italy.
There is continuing speculation that the Roosters may though have to offload Shaun Kenny-Dowall, possibly to Newcastle, to accommodate Tedesco.
