James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Was always going to happen provided they came up with the money, Tedesco is a Roosters fan, his family are Roosters members, and if the chooks had come to the party with the right coin last contract he would have already been a Rooster.

Took a while for Uncle Nick to sort out the TPA’s as he signed back on April 3, must have been waiting for some new brown paper bags to arrive.

So he signed the Monday (April 24th) after we beat the Dogs at the latest (10 day cool off) No wonder he didn't come back for the second half against the Sharks.

Later Tedesco… sad to see you go but that's life... It's not about the MONEY MONEY MONEY... more about the TPAs TPAs TPAs... you just want to do the chicken dance, forget about US? :bawling

goodluck and enjoy those TPAs.

:sign:

Prediction for next year:

Tedesco does his knee. Misses the season. Roosters miss the eight.

Woods gets booed by the bulldogs supporters for being crap. Gets dropped from NSW. Dogs miss semis.

Tigers to make the 8 and laugh at them all. Go the tigers.

Let's all put a curse on the Rorters.

But seriously the writing was on the wall after he initially signed with Canberra last time. He might have loved playing here but that was probably more to do with his mates being here. A bit like Benji saying 'I just want to play with my mates'.
Well it's a good thing the boys club is being disbanded. Let's get guys here who want to play for the jersey and show a bit of passion. Hopefully we'll have a team to support in 2018 that's committed, that's not soft and who show passion for club.

The plain and simple reality is that Tedesco had two choices:

1\. Lead us like a best player does. At 24, he could have turned into an Andrew Ettinghausen type leader who stayed with one club and lead us to finals footy for the next 8 years. Possibly got a premiership in there. Retired an absolute legend.

OR

2\. Take the easy option. Join the Rorters and basically 'slip in' to the role Minichello once had. Club is already full of leaders, thus no real responsibility. Win a comp there maybe, and be just another piece in their crooked machine. Don't win one or get injured and he will be shipped off as damaged goods as quickly as possible.

Ultimately, he took the easy option.

At last the contract drama is over.
Originally I hoped we would keep Teddy but as it dragged out I reached the point that I just didn't care, I just wanted it over to hopefully end the media feeding frenzy.
I lost respect for Teddy with the way his contract negotiations dragged, it was not a good look for him or the club.
I hope he doesn't do a Sharon Woods style interview and disrespect the team.

78/129 games played for Tigers. Spent 51 games injured - more than 2 full seasons out of 5 seasons 9 games he's been in NRL

Disloyal, ungrateful, backstabbing deserter

I hope you win nothing and regret this decision for the rest of your life

100% agree there…Glad this is now all over and the club can move forward and hopefully the media frenzy around the WT that these 3 clowns have brought upon the club will disappear.

Teddy is the one player of the 'BIG 4" I hoped we'd keep...but he is now a COCK from 2018 on wards. At least I wont have to cringe and pray he is not injured every time he goes down...I also hope we play all 3 clubs in the semis in the years to come and wallop their backsides on our way to a premiership...

I think 172 pages is enough for this guy.

Let's move forward and concentrate on the players who want to be here and are responsible for building this team into a top 4 side.

Sums it up for me as well, not angry or upset, just disappointed that he took the easy option.

Here's hoping we win won before them
