If you go back and read the post that has the kicking and runnign stats you will see that AD won't be wearing the 7 based off his kicking skills. His stats are way below Madden's and also below Luai's. What is even more of an issue is that his kicking is not accurate/controlled.

If you are relying on his kicking game to have him in the 7 I think you are barking up the worng tree. If AD is selected as the half to start the year it will be based on the strenght of his running game.

This is the same strenght that makes him a possible 13.

Running tackling everything AD craps on Madden. Strength size. Madden kicks in cup where he has more time. Stats dont always paint the picture.

Unless there are more injuries madden will be playing cup.

Mate, shooting from the hip again. Madden's kick stats were taken only from NRL level games, not Q Cup. If you had bothered to take five seconds to read the post your are arguing against you would already know that. I desregarded the Q Cup figues for exactly the reason you sated.

Again if you read the post you would also be aware that I am not hard over on the AD/Madden halves issue. I simply believe that with the roster for 2026 as it stands AD is bettter suited to start at 13 with Madden probably playing 6.

You're butt hurt about someone having a different opinion on a footy discusion forum FFS. Unless you are prepared to discuss the subject and support your argument why bother.

I am a big fan of Laui but I just don't understand why he just doesn't activate the clause he has.
IMO he is clearly staying as he is not getting this kind of money elsewhere if we are being honest and the clubs seem to be doing all the right plays he wants etc..

Just getting this done now is just a positive for the club you are trying to build and take to the next step. It takes away all the negative unwanted media and show potential recruits that players want to be here.

He talks the talk about this been a great club and he is clearly one of the main leaders here so LFG...

Because he is signed. If he activates his clause it’s to Leave!

Activating the clause means he's leaving, while doing nothing means he's staying. Sure, he could say he's removing the clauses, but I wouldn't count on it. The club could easily mess things up again, especially with the people at HBG still backstabbing each other and undermining corporate governance. Yes, we have an independent board, but they still hold seats and maintain influence. I know if I was in his position I would not remove them. He has repeatedly stated quite clearly that he is committed for the long haul and it would take the club screwing him and his family over for him to leave.

Surely you are over the excuses.
We currently have uncertainty on whether or not our 2 highest paid players will commit to our club long term or not.
It needs to be sorted out urgently and if they love the club as much as they claim they do they would get it resolved ASAP,

Hope you're right with the short kicking game.
We seem to be brain dead 10m out.
How often do you see other sides do a deft kick behind the defence and score. I have seen the NRLW side do it. But it should not be just one person given the job. Share it around. Call it for the runner to be aware it's on! And it's an angled kick, not straight out the back door. Practice it.

what excuses? .....has Luai not been very clear every time he is asked that he is committed for the long term? We are just buying into the media beat up by wringing our hands and stressing out about it. I'm more concerned about the Bula situation, yet at the same time if it doesn't work out there are options out there...based on current form he is not worth $900k in 2027...perhaps if he has a phenomenal 2026 he could be, however I trust Benji and Richo to know what his ceiling is. The reality is he has been playing first grade under Benji for 3 seasons now and I honestly can't say I have seen an improvement trajectory that I am overly excited about. Yes, he does make our attack look better...not $900k better. Reality is he is probably worth what we are paying him today $700 - $750k and that's taking his potential over the next 2 - 3yrs into consideration.

This is probably why the Bula issue is dragging on.
