With brooks out for that glorious punch I really hope we see madden come in instead of grub

How long will he get I wonder?
If you also leave Reynolds out that might push him to accept a move Overseas just so he can play. His Manager is trying to convince him this is the best long term option.

Both facing 1 week. Fair punishment I reckon

I have only seen his highlights package, can somebody tell me if this fella can throw bullet passes, cutout passes, and rainbow passes? (lol). Does he throw these passes? I reckon someone doing these would be a great partner for Brooks who has more of a short game. Thanks!!!

Gagai throw about 3 upper cuts whilst he held Brooks in a head lock .. hence how Brooksy got the shinner .. for an eye to swell up that quickly, it could possibly mean that Brooksy has a fractured eye socket as well .. ??

That’s where Mbye comes in for me...Mbye playing fullback brooks playing in the middle with madden sticking to the right could be fantastic...Mbye whilst no benji has a very handy passing game

I'd be surprised if Madden got a shot. Maguire has let some of the fringe members be in the 21 to give them a taste of game day. He's yet to do that with Madden,

Adam D is pretty good too, i guess between the lot of them should have decent ball thrown around.

Madden will not get a run this season and probably for the better ..Mybe / Reynolds the coach will not jump him over those two .

Can you imagine the media if Madge picks Madden ahead of Reynolds....

He won't do it, purely for that and the fact the season is gone anyway. Might give Reynolds a chance to secure a contract elsewhere.

BJ and Mbye no certainties from what I understand so we may be light on for troops.

Either we give Madden a go and see how he goes or just cut him loose. No point hanging onto the bloke if we really don't think he can make the grade

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that halfback Jock Madden has signed a new, one-year contract extension with the club.

The new deal will see the 20-year-old remain in Wests Tigers colours until at least the end of the 2022 NRL season.

A former Australian Schoolboy and New South Wales junior representative, Madden joined Wests Tigers in 2019 on a two-year development contract — featuring strongly for the club’s Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup sides before moving into the NRL squad at the start of the 2021 campaign.

The Scone Thoroughbreds junior said he delighted to continue his time with Wests Tigers.

“I’m extremely grateful and excited to be part of this club moving forward,” Madden said.

“I’ve seen this club grow a lot since I’ve been here, and I feel like I’ve developed a lot as a player too. I’ve really enjoyed learning from the players here over the past two years and I’m looking forward to taking the next step in my career now at Wests Tigers.

“Everyone is really focused on achieving the same success here at Wests Tigers and I’m excited to play my part in helping bring that for our Members and fans.”

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe congratulated Madden on his new deal.

“On behalf of all at Wests Tigers, I’d like to congratulate Jock on his new deal and say how pleased we are to have him commit further to this club,” Pascoe said.

“I’ve seen Jock grow a lot since first joining Wests Tigers and I’m looking forward to watching him grow further in his time here as he continues to develop as an NRL player.

“In addition to his on-field commitment, Jock is a wonderful ambassador for the values of Wests Tigers and a fine young man away from the field, so it’s very pleasing to have him as part of this club moving forward into the 2021 season and beyond.”

Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire said Madden’s contract extension was a recognition of the professionalism and commitment demonstrated by the young halfback.

“I’m really pleased to see Jock re-sign with the club because I can see how hard he works to improve himself and the team every single day,” Maguire said.

“Jock is thoroughly professional in all that he does — both on and off the field — and I have no doubt that his dedication to the high standard he strives to achieve will see him continue to develop into a strong Wests Tigers player.”

Tigers recruitment is nailing everything at the moment.

Smart to sign jock on for another year. Stops other clubs sniffing around him for most of this year and we can continue to see how he develops next year too.
