I realise that but other clubs get things done ASAP or like we did with Roberts , it’s when they drag out , we tend to come last , let’s face it our record is not good .

Our record is terrible, for whatever reason.

The only ones we land are kids we offer more than their current clubs will offer / a starting spot their clubs can't offer... stefano, blore, Laurie etc.

And guys looking for that final, big, paycheck...too many to list.

We can't seem to land that mid 20s / in their prime / Origin level player.

It is actually pretty rare that current SOO plyers switch clubs, and its always for big $$$

I'm not going to rehash the figures, but I did a review of last year's SOO sides and about half were still with the club for which they debuted, and barely any players had ever had more than 2 FG clubs.

Even just quickly rattle them off in your head from 2020 SOO:
J Turbo, DCE - only Manly
Munster, Welch - only Storm
JAC - Tigers 6 games, Storm rest
Tedesco - Tigers and Roosters
Cordner, Tupou, Friend - Roosters only
Crichton - Souths and Roosters
Frizell - Dragons and yet to play for Knights
Wighton, Papalii - only Canberra
Gagai - one of the few multi-clubbers
Holmes - Sharks and Cowboys
Capewell - Sharks and Panthers
Cleary - only Panthers
Grant - Tigers loan and Storm
etc.

Now all we need is a detailed profile of each player before they played nrl. And some scouts, we need some scouts to find them.

We hardly knew him

He’s really not dead, as long as we remember him.

We thought we had him

Did he follow someone new on instagram

Just the old joke about a player we didn’t sign.

Another that got away , think this one can be closed down . Shame he would have been great .

A great win for the Tigers if he stays at Brisbane, there was a reason why Bennett didn't have him or McGuire in the Origin squad.

Michael Carayannis, The Courier Mail:

The Tigers are continuing negotiations with Brisbane forward Joe Ofahengaue which will enable Josh Aloiai out of his deal to join Manly but talks with Curtis Sironen making a return to the club have stalled.

Then the righthandman and when that gets tired it'll be the lefthandman

Been a ex agrade coach , when putting a team together my 1st thought always was I need a forward pack that will hold there own at the very least . After that a need a 1/2 back who can lead the team around the park and implement my game plan . Followed by a good fullback who can talk and organise the defence line , other than that sometimes u have to make do with what u have , so let’s face it we don’t have the 1st thing on my list , a dominant pack , so until Madge can get a mongrel pack we ain’t going anywhere .

The pack is looking better than last season at least.
Musgrove was good if he stays on the park.
Blore should be better after a preseason.
Tamou - Welcome addition
Leilua L - Our best player should improve
Stefano - Needs game time but out to prove himself

MIKAELE - Playing for a contract in 2021
Garner - Needs to improve D, Attack solid.
TWAL - Not great should improve
Liddle - Full Pre-season for a change.
Simpkin - Should get some game time

So overall i think our pack is better than last year and i am not including ALOIAI as won't be around.

Aloiai was easily our best middle forward last year and we've signed Tamou and Stef. If that is an upgrade it's a minor one.

Potentially we have a good pack but we need heaps of improvement from a bunch of those guys or we need some great signings. I'm not even sure if JO is the right player for us.

There's some talent there. What concerns me is the lack of experience and NRL weathering.

For example:
Simpkins: Yet to play NRL
Blore: 125 mins of NRL experience
Stefano: 24 mins of NRL experience
Liddle: Played 180 mins all year. Missed a lot of matches over the years
Musgrove: Played 180 mins all year. His last game before that was 2017
