Our record is terrible, for whatever reason.
The only ones we land are kids we offer more than their current clubs will offer / a starting spot their clubs can't offer... stefano, blore, Laurie etc.
And guys looking for that final, big, paycheck...too many to list.
We can't seem to land that mid 20s / in their prime / Origin level player.
It is actually pretty rare that current SOO plyers switch clubs, and its always for big $$$
I'm not going to rehash the figures, but I did a review of last year's SOO sides and about half were still with the club for which they debuted, and barely any players had ever had more than 2 FG clubs.
Even just quickly rattle them off in your head from 2020 SOO:
J Turbo, DCE - only Manly
Munster, Welch - only Storm
JAC - Tigers 6 games, Storm rest
Tedesco - Tigers and Roosters
Cordner, Tupou, Friend - Roosters only
Crichton - Souths and Roosters
Frizell - Dragons and yet to play for Knights
Wighton, Papalii - only Canberra
Gagai - one of the few multi-clubbers
Holmes - Sharks and Cowboys
Capewell - Sharks and Panthers
Cleary - only Panthers
Grant - Tigers loan and Storm
etc.
Now all we need is a detailed profile of each player before they played nrl. And some scouts, we need some scouts to find them.
