Warren is still here..

I've heard from two different people recently that he was moved on. Maybe he was moved into another role but he isn't handling junior recruitment

Cant be specific, but I have not a lot of confidence in Warren. Glad Hartigan is here.

If only he could Shannon back ...we'd be right for a fullback for 2021

A fullback that couldn't stand on his own two feet for more than 10 seconds at a time

Some mixed results todays for our reps viz:

Harold Matts
Magpies 32 leading the Raiders 10 (2nd half)
Knights 22 beat the Tigers 10

SG Ball
Tigers beat the Knights 26-22
Magpies game to start soon

Laurie Daley cup
Wests tigers macarthur 12 beat the Dragons 10

Andrew johns cup
Wests tigers 16 lost to the Dragons 24

Tarsha Gale
Wests tigers 16 beat the Raiders 10

Magpies have two strong sides this year they won't lose many games I reckon.

I'm curious. The Magpies struggled in recent years. What is the reason for the change in 2021? (albeit we are only two rounds in)

WT have recruited a lot of talented kids, most have gone to Wests, in previous years most have gone to Balmain.

In general it looks like recruits from greater Sydney and New Zealand have gone to Wests and recruits from Qld have joined Balmain. Complementing local juniors from each area. Balmain Matts the weakest of the four sides.

I do wonder how long Solomone Saukuru will stay in Matts for. He could be playing Flegg this year with his brother, but with age groups all going up a year it could be hard with the extra competition

Solomone has been excellent as has his brother but sounds like Flegg have a pretty big squad with a lot of talent. Like you said with the ages going up it'll be difficult for guys to move up most likely

They've cut some very good players from the team and I'm hoping that means they've got a good squad and isn't just poor decisions ?

Balmain are certainly don't it tough at the moment fitness wise yet are still being competitive and should be 2 for 2. 5 of their best players all out injured

Missing their starting halfback, hooker, 5/8 prop and second rower. Tannous, Anjoul, Tumeth, O'Kane and Thomas all out. Guyan the only star left

If you mean injury wise ...hell yeah ...if you mean they aren't fit enough .....they can only blame themselves

Yes injury wise. They would have had the best spine in the comp. 2 ACLs, 2 bad head knocks and something else to O'Kane.

Big end to the game to come for Wests in Harold Matts. Halves have had a shocker unfortunately but they’re up by 2 with 4 to go.

14-12 win, very tight game. My MOM was the Wests centre Solomone Saukuru.

Extremely powerful runner and doubt he’ll stay a centre in future.

His brother is a similar build and is an excellent second rower

I’ve heard that but haven’t seen him play. Can’t stay for all of SG Ball but I’ll keep an eye out for him.

Thunderbolts knocked over Wests 28-26 in SG Ball. Kitione Kautoga bagged a double for Wests.
