Kyle Lovett gone?

True Tiger ignores that the team were thrown under a bus by dropping Farah when he was scoring tries and playing actively off the bench. He also ignores that we are paying for him this year for virtually no value in return. We should have been in the finals last year just for that stupid field goal that RF could have landed with one eye shut. Sorry I can't buy the club line.

Check the records - has any player being dropped whilst still being paid top salary after scoring good tries in two last games? And the team mates were swamping over him.

He did not retire at the top like some players in other sports have done so.

I think you would throw the whole team under the bus to save Robbie

At least we know who your vote for the next Immortal will be and what religion you've converted to ….. Farahism

Amusing his agenda is so raw for him... But it's very tiresome

I don't think Michael Potter would agree with what you say about Farah. Potter did not even get a chance to coach let alone retire at the top.

Hmm..I don't know how Farah relates to Kyle Lovett…but I would imagine it would have been hard for him after being dropped playing the odd game in SC picking up a Calf injury then a Virus and finally a hip flexor injury that ended his season to contribute at all to FG...in the back end of the season...

Come to think of it Kyle came down with a Virus as well...could be related..

No more ink. He will be following Souths next season. Won't he??

:deadhorse:

If they really are that happy to let Lovett go, it must mean they like what they see from Felise and the other juniors coming through too, which is a positive. How the heck are we over the cap though?!

This ain't gonna be popular , but I think Woods can be part of the problem sometimes , bit like Gallen he touches the ball far too often when we might need the ball going elsewhere

As I've said before he can take his time getting back after a defensive set …

In last weekend's SMH I think it was Eddie Jones who commented that you judge a forward by how long they take to get back into position - well I have seen Aaron take two tackles to get back into position.

Try 4 sometimes , and no he wasn't putting pressure on the kicker

I have mentioned this before,I will mention it again….**our team for the last 3 years has been decimated by injuries**,overhyped and over paid players trying to make a living from the NRL as well as absolutely abborent previous management decisions ....the ship is being steadied and the financials are being sorted....the squad we have for 2017 is the best we will have for the money which we can outlay..until the cap situation and the amount it will be next year is finalised then we have what we have....speculating who is going and who we want to keep is entirely out of our hands, these are the senior management decisions to work out..JT has to be credited with working with what he has and trying to better the team and club the best he can for the time being...people must stop assuming and speculating until we have solid input from our management on the path we are going..and that goes for the mole, lurker and anyone else who wants to speculate what's going on without some substantial reasoning and evidence to the facts..this brings me to my point,JT has had to mould and build a team that on face value would not be a premiership threat for at least 6/10 years...we almost made the finals after 2 years under Taylor..so for all the weaknesses that individual players seem to have,JT is trying to get them to play to their potential and talent as well as teach them the hard facts about how the NRL works...
From the very experienced to the very inexperienced he must make this team an NRL threat this year...can he do it ? I don't know..Is he doing everything he can to make this team a competitive unit...yes in my opinion he is,you can't make things happen at the snap of the fingers or overnight, all these things take time....If I have to watch the team get flogged or win by 50,I will applaud the efforts of the board, coach and players for at least turning up each week to make this a better club..if the big three or four decide to move on sobeit, there will be others who would take the opportunity to play in the black white and orange of the club and be proud to do it...if the almighty dollar dictates your life then really there isn't much to be enjoyed,as the wise man said to me many times the cemetery is full of rich wealthy unhappy people..

Enjoy life to the fullest and do your best..after all football is only a game where you can take it or leave it,change codes ,get big bucks make plenty of friends, but in the end you only get to live once, make the most of it....

TT has had a couple of drinks and got into a verbal with some league experts that really wouldn't know a football from a tennis ball, but when they start bagging out the Tiges it makes TT burr up ...

Apologise if I have had a rant....sometimes its easier if TT let's off some steam, after all we are a forum family....cheers...

Sorry TT but the last two years injuries have got better. Potters, final year was injury ridden, not the last two. Agree with most of the rest but injuries are not really a problem….

Be interesting to see what happens after Kyle has his day in court, if the matter is dealt with there and then or it's put over to another day..

There are not many defences to drug possession. Sometimes the "drugs" come back as containing no prohibited substance (because the buyer was ripped off) but not very often. December/January brings a lot of busts for drug possession/supply so the drug analysis may not be back yet, in which case it will just go over for another mention 4-6 weeks after 1 Feb.

Apparently he has pleaded guilty to cocaine possesion.

**NRL Player Avoids Drugs Conviction**

Wests Tigers forward Kyle Lovett has avoided a conviction after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine.

The 23-year-old was found with 0.39 grams of the drug hidden in his underwear when he was pulled over by police and searched in the early hours of December 23 at Pyrmont in Sydney.

Lovett on Wednesday received a six-month good behaviour bond at Downing Centre Local Court with his lawyer revealing the player could still face punishment from the NRL.

What was he doing to warrent him being pulled over and having his underwear searched. Can't say that's ever happened to me.

Seeing as it's Pyrmont I'm guessing the Casino would be involved somehow. Maybe caught on camera there and someone tipped off the police?

Kyle Lovett's night on the town started at The Ivy nightclub, and ended in an alley being strip-searched by police.
>
Officers questioned the Wests Tigers forward while he was sitting at the wheel of a black Mercedes Benz near The Star casino, in Pyrmont, about 1.20am on December 23.
>
Drug offence: Kyle Lovett has avoided a conviction for having a small amount of cocaine.
>
Police pulled him over in an area known to be used for drug deals, and noticed he was "sweating profusely" and clenching his jaw, according to a statement of facts before Downing Centre Local Court.
>
They found white powder in the driver's seat and footwell, and the passenger's side footwell, before taking Lovett into an alcove to strip search him.
>
When asked if he had any drugs in his underwear, he said: "I'll be honest with you, I do."
>
Officers found a small bag of cocaine in his underpants, and charged him with possessing about 0.39 grams of the drug.
>
Police also found a blue and white MDMA capsule on the road under the car, but Lovett said "I don't touch that stuff."
>
He had a wad of cash on him, which he said was casino winnings.
>
Lovett, 23, appeared in court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty.
>
His lawyer, George Elias, told magistrate Janet Wahlquist it was Lovett's first offence, and he accepted full responsibility for his actions.
>
"I'd ask you to give him one chance," Mr Elias said.
>
"He comes before you as a person who is extremely remorseful."
>
Mr Elias said Lovett had to face the NRL integrity unit, and he didn't know what the future held for his career.
>
Ms Wahlquist said she took into account Lovett's youth, his clean criminal history, his remorse, and his early guilty plea.
>
She did not record a conviction, and handed down a six-month good behaviour bond.
>
The magistrate said everyone was treated equally in the court system, regardless of their occupation.
>
"Usually for young people I'm prepared to give leniency. Young people often experiment and do use a small amount of drugs.
>
"You should know that it's a danger, as it's quite commonly said, there's no quality control.
>
"I'm prepared to give you the benefit of leniency, it was a small quantity … you have an otherwise bright future."
>
Lovett is contracted with the Tigers until the end of 2017, but it was rumoured the club was attempting to force him out in a bid to ease salary-cap pressure.
>
He was supported by his parents and a team welfare officer in court, and thanked the magistrate as he left the courtroom.
