Lachlan Galvin #277 *Megathread*

There's no need for any team to do a player swap .. only costs a potential club 150k .. all the clubs that have been talked about have a roster spot left .. 150k on a 12m salary cap .. we're just rolling over and giving him away .. weak as piss I reckon .. should see out his contract in reserve grade .. or even flegg if he continues to shit the bed .. learn some humility .. let moses take us to court .. who says we have to pick an 18/19 Yr in first grade .. and what other players "like" on Facebook isn't the clubs doing.. stuff the grub.. he thinks he controls the whole comp and aparantly is getting away with it.. NRL are very spineless on this..
I think it has more to do with the court case is it worth the bad publicity?

You don't know what the board said to Richo

They could have said let it go we don't want to spend the money time and effort on it

A stern look these days it seems...
I’d love WT to challenge this.
If the only things that happened were those that were made public, I believe it would be difficult for Galvin to prove that there was a risk to his health or safety. There is no evidence of that.
Moreover, the club came out and took action to ensure he would not be bullied.

Courts would be partial to a claim affecting mental health, but judges aren’t stupid.
This claim would be seen for what it is; a desperate attempt to drag an employer down, motivated only by the desire to break terms of a contract.

I reckon call the bluff and see you in court. I am sure that Parramatta, or any suitor, won’t be thrilled about that.
Tigers will be fine, but it will drag on and the only person this will impact is Galvin.

Don’t give in to this twerp.

Why are we assisting opposition clubs ?
Why every year we have these dramas that derail our progress ?
However IMO Galvin has been a bit ordinary last few weeks
Eg Part of our humiliation by Storm and cost us the game with his dropped ball vs Souths .
I believe Luai at 6 and Latu at 7 will eventually be a more potent half's pairing
The club needs to stop the Drama and just have Harmony going forward
If he goes to Parra he won't play against us this year

Why ? I asked a couple of questions and did my best to try and answer them
Richo could soften the blow by announcing these signings he teased us with !

If he’s made a list of benji coaching its not unrealistic for him to have kept a log of events in a diary
Many things written can sound damaging especially without context of the full circumstances in which they occur. Easy to prove harder to refute

Personally I think most young people today are a bit soft
My son is almost 20 and in his 2nd year at university. He’s playing rugby and had a conversation about this years first years where he mentioned they were soft. Went on to say he also felt he was soft but not like they are 😂😂😂

As soon as we roll over, everything is forgotten and Moses gets away with it again. The NRL will not take on Moses till a big club starts screaming and even than it’s likely to be done with a feather duster.

We should rally some support from other clubs who absolutely despise Moses like the Chooks and take him on in court, otherwise this will continue to happen year after year. It’s like corruption, if you keep paying it, it will never go away. Sometimes you are better going down the hard road if you want a permanent fix

If this goes to court , it will take up to 3 years , I say stick the little shit in Ron Massey for the next 1year and a 1/2

Clearly the club has had enough. I think from the outside looking in our team spirit has taken a hit. Thats what this team was thriving on this season and we need to get it back ASAP. It doesn't matter what the players say about getting on with business etc, they would be walking on eggshells around Gal and the only way to get it back is to drop him or release him. Dropping him creates nothing but negative press and a hell of lot of it.
Im not going to lie, I feel like we have been bent over once again by releasing him, but taking the emotion out of it, the further him and his family are from the club the better. Braith Anasta is 100% right in everything he said.
I hate to sound like a broken record, but if Latu is going to be the solution, then he needs to go see the Hamstring guru in the US. Given the number of reoccurrences, it would appear our staff are not up to the rehab task.

Also worth noting re the bullying claims. It was reported Arthur Moses was acting for Galvin for free. This was only ever going to cost one party a lot of money, regardless of the outcome.

And to think, not even 3 months ago there were a select group of posters on here claiming Galvin was the best teenage prospect of the last 20 years.

Now he's a disruptive bum that cost us a win against Souths.

Where has Mrs Galvin & Moses gone with their constant banging on about how great Galvin is?
Both things can be true...

I really don’t think latu is the answer. Sure the guy has shown a bit of skill but he’s inexperienced at the top level and injury prone. We need to be looking for an experienced 7 to lead this team because at the moment we’re still incredibly disorganised
