Lachlan Galvin #277 *Megathread*

I get the feeling that's what's happening wit the offer from the dogs

He's going there to play NSW cup this year and transition into first grade next year
doubt its the Dogs, in saying that ,they would master a game plan to hide him in defence, but the club n his personality just don't match

I heard a different take on this today. Galvin actually wanted to stay at WT and Moses saw an opportunity to put the boot into Benji, hence the list of grievances, hoping they'd opt to keep Galvin and punt Benji, probably for a coach Moses acts for. Similar to Penrith punting Gould to get Ivan Cleary back so his son wouldn't follow him to WT.
Rich wasn't copping that and released the statement immediately to expose Moses.
If that's the case then it's doubtful any deal had already been done with any other club.
Doubt it , if I wanted to stay at a club and got offered MILLIONS and my manager said no we are not interested.. I'd fuc.k him off ..

Its hard to believe this when you have stated that Galvin had already signed with the Roosters a while before the blow up.

Tigerballs
I can tell you that I have been in conversations with Mr.Galvin
and what you heard is not how it is, He is sticking with his son has always been in winning sides and Lachlan doesn’t see that happening at the Tigers.
And no Father Galvin gave us no indication where Lachlan will end up.
I have mentioned before some of the crap written about Lachlan’s
Father is just rubbish.

I agree. The reactions towards his family by people on here is pathetic.
I can understand where they are coming from. If I had a son playing in this system over the past 3 years, there’s no way in hell I’d be advising him to stay.

Appreciate your update Oldman,

My biggest concerns are that he was asking for release before even playing a game and that shows me his character and not wanting to work hard for something. We were the only team to give him that chance to even play 1st grade and if that didn't happen, he most likely would still be playing cup and not getting all this money and attention. (not saying he is not talented)

Laui is a perfect example of a young kid playing with his mates and all of them putting in the hard yards to improve Panthers because they were bottom like us and they ended up with 4 premierships. What a feeling that would have been but sounds like he just wants to join a super team and have success straight away. That's his choice but not the character of people we are building here.

IMO I think we dodged a bullet here as 6mil for him would have been way overs but that's my opinion and people can disagree

Hi hsvjones
Don’t worry myself and 3 mates that talk to Mr.Galvin don’t agree with how Lachlan is thinking but it’s his life and good luck to him.
We have mentioned that knocking back $Millions hopefully doesn’t come back to bite Lachlan but he replied it’s Lachlan’s call to make and that’s what he wants to do.

Any chance his nose was growing whilst talking to you and your mates.

The only rubbish here is Galvins father IMO!!..and the avaricious manager
Totally unappreciative of the support and opportunity and player development provided by WTs,
loyalty factor /decency zero,...smarts even less having been offered a long term 7 figure contract
Unaware that we were in the top 8 when all this garbage broke out and were on the rise..had good recruits around him...no need to look for better opportunities,,they were staring him in the face!
Im thinking dad is Damir Docic 2.0
A greedy and unappreciative grub
How much is the price of fish again??

pull your head in of all people, your spouting morals? the reactions only started when son and manager started fighting below the belt. The parents need to except a lot of the backlash over this, for the are his guardians guiding him thru life, to be strong , fare. Benji can't develop his game . HOG WASH , gave the kid a start over better judgment. Be civil know in your come back or the household will take side bets on your demeanor, lol
