Lachlan Galvin #277 *Megathread*

Does anyone got any ideas why? I think our team is heavy poly / indigenous and he maybe felt he didn't fit in. The doggies cultural mix is different to ours.

I'm not buying the coach thing.

It’s hard to say looking at it from the outside but
I think its a bit of everything.

I don’t think he felt like he fit in.

His school coach is at the Dogs, he loves him.

However I do think the coaching staff is the main reason for the switch. Ciraldo has this perception that he is a ‘master coach’ and it’s the place to be.

I think Benji would be a good man manager and has/is establishing a good culture at the club, well we hope so.

Answer this though:

Who would you prefer coaching our team?

Will this thread go to next levels death riding him every game he plays at the Dogs ? Going to make Luke Brooks hate look lame I predict , although fortunately he is still providing the lol’s at Moanly this season with all my manly supporting mates hating on him by now …

Am I missing something here?

Don’t managers get paid as a percentage of their players contract?

If so, Moses (who if you believe most on this forum) has instigated this whole sorry saga, so he himself, could get less money 🤔

Doesn’t the way it’s played out, now suggest that the manager was just doing what the player requested him to do?

As I said at the start - Am I missing something here? 🤷‍♂️

Absolute joke - released Tom Amone virtually the moment Galvin turned down the Wests Tigers offer.
My anger is directed at how he goes on about pathways and building clubs blah blah.

All NRL fans ultimately want their juniors to stay at their clubs otherwise what is the point of investing in pathways. When he uses his position in the media to blatantly oversell a young player that a club is desperate to keep to tempt him to his club and he doesn't get called our for it - then he is no good for the game.

I don't think Moses is miss out on any money

Remember Tito's offer to move to the dogs from the Titans had a hotel involved off the books

Galvins third party would be massive

Good managers will do what they think is best for their client … even if this is not always the highest money making option …

I suspect Isaac knows the relationship Galvin has with his ex coach now at the Bulldogs, and has moved heaven and earth to get them back together … even though that act has left him seriously out of pocket …. We should in fact be praising Isaac’s selflessness here instead of criticising him …

The Laundy’s. Aren’t we supposed to have some millionaire in our corner who runs a pretty profitable business himself? 🤔

I don't know if this has been brought up yet. I haven't heard it in the media.

Galvin claims bullying. Enough to make a legal matter.

Isn't the Bulldogs in a court case with Jackson Topine over bullying in the workplace?

Has Jackson's case even concluded?
Straw clutching. What happened to Topine had zero affect on Galvin.

Again, can someone explain why Gus’credibility is such a central issue for us when Galvin was leaving anyway?
I don’t think anyone is necessarily saying this is a central issue to us, but it is part of a bigger issue with the conflict of interest and blatant lying that people want to vent and (rightfully so) call him out for. If people want to do that I don’t see an issue.

But what’s the point? He was leaving anyway. If any club was screwed over, it was Parra.

There is no point, it won’t change anything but it’s just venting. I think people just feel ripped off that some figures in the game seem to get away with this sort of thing regularly. I haven’t complained about Gould, but do I think the situation is dodgy - yes. Does it bother me - not really, as the outcome more than makes up for the manner in which it played out.
