OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I think it makes business sense to see more of Latu before throwing $5 million at Galvin. I can't help but feel that Latu is the better player I don't want to mess this up.
Galvin is a gun at his age his skill level is exceptional. Tigers have no choice but to keep him. The better player has won the 6 jersey. I like Latu and they may find a way to keep and play both.

I think we should just be excited to see these kids play together. They’re young and raw and will have errors in them but at least for now they are ours.

A win over the Broncs is unlikely but it would be memorable. Revenge for the Baby Broncos?

The irony of you calling anyone dopey when you’re the biggest dope on here by far.

That’s some solid logic right there. So because I stated that Luai disappeared for the last 15 minutes following two great tackles that possible injured his shoulder, that means Galvin and Latu will be better than him by 2027? Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds? Evidently not since you love to display your stupidity like it’s a badge of honour on here.

Seyfarth was a top 3? The guy who yet again gave away a penalty that actually cost us the game? We can add this one to your long list of moronic claims. Tell me again how May doesn’t offer anything more than Twal, dunce 🤣
Funny how Seyfarth featured heavily in the 3-2-1 ratings on this very forum, but you know better than everyone else.
Anyway this thread is about Lachie Galvin, so if as usual you have no onpinion about him or what the club should be doing surrounding his contract situation, then PM me and we can take it from there.

I think we have to be realistic about this game. There is more than a good chance that we won't be able to match them anywhere on the park if we don't get an even share of possession..
At least we will have a couple of games prior to gauge the referees responses to the crackdown

Gave Fataape a few gob fulls on Sunday. Woefully out of position on a few shifts.
I didn’t go on Sunday but I went to the Newy game and it was noticeable how assertive Luai was. His talk was unbelievable and something I’ve never seen in a tigers jersey. People who are upset he hasn’t set up a billion tries yet don’t understand how much influence he has behind the scenes on our players

$5million for 5 years is a very fair offer. With a cap that will continue to increase, and a market that is void of many good halves, it's spot on I think

People acting like we can afford to offer less and losing him wouldn't be bad is boggling my brain. He's the best young prospect in the entire league! He will do nothing but get better

Yeah we've got Latu, but last year he didn't even get through 80 minutes. We can find a way to fit him in the team too.

Galvin would be silly to accept any offer until the season is over. Doubt it's resolved until then. Hope everyone has fun stressing about it until then!

Agree. Been a while since we watched games with a genuine team. It’s a long season however, they are having a go. After 3 spoons it’s all you can ask.

I've been to three games so far & it doesn't show up on the TV but Luai is directing where everyone needs to be in our attacking shapes & hands out a fair few sprays if someone has missed their assignment or aren't where they need to be. As someone said he's not giving the last pass but he is having a hand in the build up to the tries like Turuvas first one against the Fins.
He has zero tries or try assists. Almost no attacking stats. He is worse than adam blair as a signing

Went to get some milk from the shops and I kid you not in my 2 minute trip they started and finished a segment on Lachie Galvins contract on Triple M. Brent Read re-iterated what Weidler said about 5 year extension (I’m pretty sure he said extension) but he said it would be between 5-5.5 mil over the 5 years and suggested it could even be more than 5y. He also said there was some hostility between Isaac Moses and Richo but they are now on much more amicable terms.

Rothfield was also there and unsurprisingly he could only speak negatively, pressing Ready on whether having Isaac Moses as his agent and his relation to Mitch Moses could potentially shift Galvin towards the Eels. However, Read said that he reckons Tigers are gonna throw the best deal at Galvin and if he left it wouldn’t be for money, but that’s just conjecture by Rothfield and Read so don’t read into it too much.

The thing is he has setup a billion tries. If you go back and watch the tape, just watch what he is doing in the 1-2 tackles before a try is scored. Then he is quite often the first receiver in a long back-line shift. So he doesn't get credited with anything, but really 80% of the credit in those tries is due to his work.

But we don’t need to go the early crow, do we ? Plenty of time to gauge the mood and draft an offer. If possible, I’d back end it so he earns as he grows, and the incentive is there to improve his footy. The Brown deal is a dangerous one, not only for Newy, but for the entire league.

Read is apparently mates with Richo, so if richo wants something out the media it would be through him. Love Richo

Front loading is a risk. Come year 3 or 4, the agitation to move on for more money can start.
Greed is strong.
I was gunna babble on about the type of contract I like, but you know what, I really just like the contract that Gal signs that says he’s gunna stay and play for the Tigers.
In Richo I must trust.
