OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277

IMO it seems to have all started up again the moment the media talked about halves options for Parra following the Brown announcement. Brown didn’t just immediately agree and it was announced. The deal had been known through the pre-season. But I reckon the timing of it starting behind the scenes was the moment Mitch Moses renegotiated his contract.
Yes. I don't do social media, but I recall someone on here who does of Galvin liking a post (not sure on the platform) linking him to the Eels weeks ago. Pretty much as soon as Brown was announced to be going to Newy.

Can't act in bad faith. The RLPA will have him out of the club in an afternoon if Wests Tigers were seen to be behaving like that.
The RLPA are a toothless tiger man ! All they can do is go into the tigers office and jump up and down . If nothing has legally been done wrong , as many have suggested on here , there’s nothing they can do .
If the tigers were dumb enough to record somewhere they were dropping Galvin because he won’t sign , which I wouldn’t have put past the last regime , I don’t think that’s the case with Richo and Benji . So it’s just hearsay at best , or conflicting stories of which no one can prove .
The rlpa has zero power like every union ! The power is in strikes and negotiations at the bargaining table.

Only time will tell if it's the club or Galvin. We are all taking educated guesses at the moment, you have decided to go against the club and support Galvin, that's your right. Or at the very least your trying hard to paint the club in bad light. Maybe you believe that, maybe it's just for reactions on here. All I know is that we were all warned a long time ago about the Galvins and the history they have through the juniors. That history is repeating itself here. So my educated guess is that they are grubs and they have the grubbiest of managers which adds to the self righteous behaviour we are seeing.
Chill pill.

Look seriously I read what's being said and everyone is blaming Galvin/Moses.

That said, the club should have known better then to sign players with Issac Moses. That's on us, we did the silly thing " hey Parra rejected their junior talent, because Parra's a baskey case. Do you want to build him up?" like Idiots we go "Sure Issac, we will invest our training/time/energy in the kid".

I 100% blame Issac Moses for this BS. He has whiteanted us all along.

I also blame our club, because honestly... When you get an Issac Moses player, this kind of crap is always just around the corner! Fool us once, shame on the big 4... Fool us twice, that's on us.

Lesson: No more Issac Moses players. Don't care how good they are.

I thought the fletcher sharpe swap idea was pretty good one . I’m just not sure where you’d play him ? Wing ? With Turuva moving into the centres ? Plus if the Bula thing has any legs at all , it’s pretty good insurance . Not sure fletcher would want that though .
The KPP thing is meh . I think we should sign him , but a player who’s off contract next year is not the same value as one who’s off contract in 2 years . You can negotiate directly for him . Sharpe is too good of a footy player to not have a real look at . I’d be worried about pissing off mason , and Luke .

In my opinion we can’t let him go regardless of who they offer this season. If he goes this season it leaves us with Doueihi and Latu as the only options for the halves. And currently they are injury prone. Maybe next season when we also have bud back it’s an option. Why should we leave ourselves in a jam because of this entitled shite of a human?? We shouldn’t, unless it serves us.
I personally would not let him go until his contract is fulfilled to make an overdue point.
Lathami bud is not coming back his agent has already asked.

Moses relationship to the tigers reminds me of a chick who dumps you but she’s got borderline personality disorder .
Not only does she not want to be with you , but she wants you to fail , and never ever succeed again , and even though she’s the one who cheated on you , and has generally been horrible to you , she non stop causes shit around you in the periphery , like bagging you to distant acquaintances , on social media etc.
yet every now and then will send you a message at 2 in the morning , (because the latest guy she’s screwed over wants nothing to do with her) , telling you she misses you .
but you can’t block her number because she’s still in the friendship circle and you still might have to interact with her every now and then . So you’re stuck knowing this person who you wish would fall down a hole and never return haha
Mate, that sounds like it came from a place deep within your soul. I hope it didn't.

How do you make that call when you have a player like Bula whom was under a different management and switches agencies to be under Issac Moses? How did that even occur?

What's the history they have in the juniors?

Lathami bud is not coming back his agent has already asked.
Yeah I think Rabbits will take him for the remainder of his contract. If not maybe he'll bite the bullet and head to Hull KR in ESL who need a halfback for next season, Willie Peters is coach close to Richo and are a team going well.

Another scenario, I wonder whether the club would consider releasing Galvin early if Eels aqreed to take Bud on full freight as well (as backup half & bench utility) plus maybe a player coming to us. Something to ponder.

Richo’s actions haven’t fallen into Moses trap. Moses has been briefing media for months, by their own admission, to get the narrative out that Galvin is leaving due to coaching not money.

It was a good tactical move by Richo and the club to ensure the media cycle isn’t dominated by the narrative Moses was pushing.

The club has bent over backwards to accomodate him, his parents and his scumbag manger.

Anyone actually having sympathy for Galvin is a moron. A 19 year old that was offered $6 million and we should feel sorry for him?

That’ll do me.
Yes and Moses has been doing this either three to four weeks ago.-telling all the clubs get your chequebook’s ready.
He’s been manipulating this for awhile.

We didn’t contribute to it, we created it.
The club constantly talked him up, fans on here…and I’m going to say 95% of fans on here, fell in line and believed we had a future immortal on the books. He was spoken about as being a superstar well before he got any where near earning that moniker.
Listening to his grievances when we think he has been treated so well is a very important step towards not just understanding the situation and putting together a strategy to combat it, but also an opportunity for self reflection and lessons learned analysis.

The most important question that needs to be answered is why is this kid, who we treated like a mini god, so hell bent on leaving this club? A follow-up is are there others feeling this same way?
A very good question Tucker, and you’re right to highlight the seemingly lack of interest from the club to want to hear the answers.
We’ve seen players like Stef and Blorey leave for less money, and to live in such a hole like Melbourne?
In a highly competitive environment it’s natural to have a few personality clashes, and Richo may have got to grievance #2 and decided it was all crap and didn’t want to hear any more offensive remarks about his coach? But it’s not a good look is it?
Richo is really fired up about this, I think mid last year he said quite firmly..we will not be dictated to by player managers. That statement itself gives an insight into the predicament faced by clubs.

My thoughts have definitely swung from making sure we hold onto Galvin to get a favourable advantage in a swap.
To
Hold onto this kid for the duration of his contract with no early release granted regardless of who is a swap option.
I think it’s the principle we need to stick with now.

The only thing I would consider is calling their bluff re team dynamic and bringing him back into first grade after a few weeks in a message of support or unity to contradict the bullying claims.
We still hold all the cards re his contract, so him playing and training with the team is the best message to get out of this bullying crap.
Going forwards we really should consider him as our best 18th man option for the rest of the year as he can still play cup but has potential to get on the field in extreme circumstances and can really assist in a game situation due to his utility value.

Man if the top 2 grievances are that , would you want to listen to the rest ? Especially when you know Moses and you know exactly what he’s doing .
It was clearly bullshit , and like I’ve said a lot now , a huge betrayal in trust, to not only manipulate certain scenarios that were clearly to protect Galvin( maybe he was getting dominated so badly , it was difficult to watch?) but to then go back and record it in a diary to then be used as dirt .
Man …. That’s cold ! From Galvin . He’s the one telling these stories. He’s the one following though on his managers instructions
